APC RBC17 UPS Replacement Battery Cartridge for APC - BE700G, BK650EI and select others

Came with all the proof that this is a legitimate APC RBC replacement. Easy to switch for the old one and appears to be working correctly.

We get periodic power outages and the APC BE700G 700VA backup system is vital to keep the wifi router powered - so far is has been tested out to 18hrs. The original APC battery fitted in the UPS lasted 4.5 years, well past its warranty. There were a few cheaper alternatives available but given the performance of the original battery and criticality of the system I went for the OEM version. It arrived within 24hrs, fitted in a few minutes and has been working great for 3 months including 2 or 3 power outages of up to 8hrs.

Could not have been easier to replace the old battery, just slip the bottom up, pull the plugs off, and pop the new ones on. Should have my UPS set for the next 5 years or so.

The replacement battery arrived promptly. It included, as expected, a sheet with instructions how to get a free collection and recycling of the old battery. These instructions included a web site link which did not give me any useful information other than a phone number for APC. I phoned that number and eventually raised a case and it was passed to a company to collect. A date was arranged but it did not happen. A further contact (now by email) arranged anther date only to receive a call from the driver on that date who had been asked to collect it but he was 220 miles away! A further email exchange gave another date that actually worked! In summary it is good that the old battery was collected for recycling. It however was far more difficult than it should have been to actually get it collected. It was just luck that I was actually at home on all three dates. it would have been very annoying if I had needed to stay at home for the failed collections.

This was ordered as a direct replacement for the previous battery that had reached end of life. The new battery is excellent quality and value for money. It was easy to fit and works well.

Just bought another one of these, the last one ran for seven and a half years, the UPS being on for all of that time. Very easy to install. Rather expensive as a lead battery, when you consider that it's basically a motorcycle battery, but a reliable replacement that has never swollen or leaked. This is the second replacement I've bought and would but it again for my ever-reliable APC Back-UPS CS 650.

Fits perfectly, easy to install and I believe it should last for a few years since it's an original brand. Not the cheapest option, but I would rather go for the original instead of third party items.

APC don't make their own batteries. They put a sticker (easily pealed off) on various 3rd party batteries to make them a "genuine replacement". Unfortunately guessing which 3rd party batteries are OK and which aren't is a risk I wasn't prepared to take; not only are some lower capacity, but a badly made battery this size isn't worth the safety risk. I did manage to find an exact match for my old battery (which lasted 12 years), but it would have much longer to arrive from Europe, had a no manufacturer warranty (just the 30 day Amazon return period) - thank 2016 for that I guess. Had I been able to find one of the brands that APC rebadge available in the UK I'd have gone with that and saved potentially quite a lot of money. It's anybody's guess whether the new battery is the actually same as my original one that lasted so long or a completely different brand (I'm hesitant to peel the sticker from the new one in case it fails under warranty).

La batteria è arrivata nei tempi. L'ho acquistata per sostituire la barca tteria del gruppo do continuità APC Back-UPS ES 700, acquistato a inizio 2019. Il prodotto è originale e appena installata, con estrema facilità, il gruppo ha ripreso a funzionare correttamente. Non ho ancora effettuato un test, ma provvederò quanto prima. Speriamo duri più di quella precedente (quasi 4 anni).

Identical to the battery I was replacing, as advertised, delivery was 7 - 14 days, came in 2 days. Set it up and was operational in about 2 minutes.
