Well made and good quality, flexible and durable material. I used this item to collect debris when making holes through thick plasterboard to fit down lights. Collected all the dust without leaving any residue on the floor. Easy to fit onto the drill and hole saw and easy to clean after use. Certainly value for money. I highly recommend this item.

Not only does this stop the user and the environment getting covered in plaster dust but it protects your drill as well. It’s a great bit of kit which prevented a horrible mess when having to replace 40 flush mounted lights and drilling the holes a bit bigger. A bugger of a job without this and a home made core to keep the cutter centred in an existing light cut out.

It wasn't clear to me from the photos or descriptions what this was made out of. The pictures made it seem it was a hard plastic, and it would be damaged by squishing it against the ceiling. But no, never fear, it's made out of a very flexible rubbery (silicone?) material, meaning that when you squish it up against the ceiling it compresses easy and without risking damage to the item. The seal isn't perfect at the base, hence 4 stars out of 5, but it's a tool I now wouldn't be without for fitting downlights. Drilled holes for 16 downlights in about 15 minutes with this helping. Make sure you wait, after drilling, for the dust in the collector to settle before removing it from the ceiling. Then use a hoover to suck up the dust it caught and move straight onto the next hole. If you're drilling plasterboard it's best to hoover the hole edges as well as soon as the collectors comes away, so any loose stuff just waiting to fall doesn't get the chance.

I used this tool on a job with a 102mm (4") circular saw to install an extractor fan in a bathroom ceiling that had both double-layer plasterboard and lath and plaster. It cut through everything cleanly, with virtually no mess. After years of fitting spotlights and ending up covered in dust, this has been a game-changer. It's an outstanding piece of kit and an absolute must-have for any electrician. Made from a flexible, rubbery material, it flexes easily during use but still feels solid and durable.

Does exactly what it should do. Saved a lot of mess when drilling holes for downlights.

This saves me so much cleaning, when cutting ceiling spots. My customers are always to see what has not fallen to the floor. Do not but the cheap plastic version, go for the proper silicone item.

Das Teil ist sein Geld wert. Bisher habe ich immer übrige Kunstoffverpackungen umfunktioniert. Aber die hatten wegen Ihrer Steifigkeit immer Bohrstaub irgendwo rausgelassen. Habe den Auffangbehälter benötigt um die Deckenlöcher meiner Einbauleuchten von 57 auf 68 cm aufzubohren. Wollte aber wegen des anfallenden Drecks nicht das Wohnzimmer ausräumen. Der Auffangbehälter passt sich dem Untergrund auch bei nichtmittigem anlegen sehr gut an. Kein Staub oder Dreck blässt heraus. Bin begeistert. Sehr zu empfehlen.

es una campana de silicona que hace que no salga polvo disparado en todas direcciones... funciona bien. hay éste mismo producto, pero "sin marca" que es idéntico, pero cuesta la mitad. yo he tenido éste (y lo he perdido) y me he comprado el otro. (por precio) y doy fe de que son idénticos. la compra, por Amazon, genial como siempre.

Ce collecteur est utilisé sur un perfo SDS, pour les perçages de gros diamètre, comme les prises de courant et points de centre au plafond pour les éclairages, donc sur une courte distance. Il récupère plus de 80% des déchets et poussières lors de perçage, ce qui ça de moins à récupérer ensuite aux 4 coins de la pièce sans son utilisation. J'ai essayé une fois de m'en passer... mal m'en a pris !
