I use this with my EOS 80D for astrophotography. This can mean shooting for several hours at a time. It's not let me down yet. I've used a few Neewer products now, both electric and mechanical items, and I'm happy to buy again. I've just double checked the price of Canon original components. Unless I've understood very badly, the dummy battery plus the separate mains power supply will set you back over £250. That's more than EIGHT of these. Even if one of these is lost, damaged, or fails, it seems like a no-brainer to me!

Used with Canon EOS 60D At first I thought it didn’t work. My orange light came on every time I tried to take a photo. It turns out I accidentally adjusted camera settings. I reset my camera through the settings menu, test and it’s working great! Haven’t tested in anger yet, but looking forward to using this as a solution for Timelapse photos.

Worked perfectly with Canon R6 once I read the instructions manual properly! No issues all day shooting.

The Dummy Battery replacement works fine for my Canon EOS camera. No issues so far. Easy to install. The "User Manual" is hilarious however. It's super tiny, and the manual has nothing to do with the Product sold. Don't let this put you off, the product itself is fine

I bought this for live-streaming with a Canon R6 and It's worked flawlessly so far.

This Dummy Battery Charger kit arrives in a reasonably nice looking, Neewer branded, cardboard box. Inside the box is the dummy LP-E6 battery, power adapter, 3-pin plug and power cord, and a Neewer Customer Service leaflet. This kit is relatively simple and straight forward to use. You simply insert the dummy battery into your camera, attach it to the power adapter, then attach the power cord to the adapter and plug it into the wall. Once you switch on, your camera will now have continual power. This dummy battery is designed to be used in any Canon camera that takes a LP-E6, LP-E6N, or LP-E6NH Z100 battery. In my case I was using it with a Canon 5D III and it worked without any issues. This dummy battery is great to use if you are working inside and are likely to be stationary for an extended period of time, such as if you are filming or streaming video, or taking product shots. I do a lot of studio macro shots, so it was great to leave my camera powered and not have to worry about changing and recharging batteries through the day as I worked. You could use it whilst moving around, but obviously the amount you can move and how mobile you will be, will be restricted by the attached cables. The cable from the dummy battery measures about 93cm long. The cable from the power adapter measures about 118cm long. The cable attached to the 3-pin plug measures about 139cm long. The build quality throughout is reasonably good. It is not the absolute best quality, but is certainly more than good enough. In conclusion, this is a handy piece of kit that works well, allowing you to power your camera without using your batteries. ~ Amazon asked me to review this product and to give my honest and impartial opinion about it.
