I bought the kit for Pixel 5 and successfully replaced the battery. Most steps are easy to follow except how to apply the adhesive to reinstall the display, which is entirely missing! The black adhesive is sandwiched between white paper and blue plastic film, which is ALMOST the size of the phone. This means you only use the FRINGE of it and discard the rest. I said ALMOST because if you place it in the middle of your phone, it will NOT reach either edge of your device! So I ended up cutting it, lengthwise, into 2 halves so that the right & left halves can cover the right & left edges of the phone respectively! I wish the instruction were better. It took me a while to figure out the adhesive was hidden between 2 sheets of materials and then much longer how to apply it. Other than the bad instruction, the kit comes with everything you need for the job. Since I only installed it yesterday, I can't vouch for the longevity of the battery. So far I'm happy. My Pixel 5 is only 2 years old. To have a bulging battery, I'm very disappointed in Google. This is why I didn't buy an OEM Google battery, which cost 2x more. Now, I have the old battery in my hand, I see it is made by the same company, Sunwoda, assuming the replacement is not lying! If this replacement can last 2 years, it's a good investment. The phone would be 4 years old by then, and time for a new one. Through this exercise, I also realize Google lies about Pixel 5's capacity. The OEM battery reads, "Typical Capacity: 4080mAh/ 15.78Wh" and "Rated Capacity: 4000mAh/ 15.48Wh". So when Google advertises the former, it is expecting this battery to operate OUTSIDE of the TESTED parameters! No wonder it bulged after only 2 years!

Perfect fit for my wife's Pixel 6a. It has a good battery life and seems to be exactly like the one that I removed from her phone. It was easy to install and had perfect instructions. Just follow along and take your time, it works.

This kit has all the tools needed to replace the battery in Google Pixel 5 Phone. The instructions are good until it comes to assembling the phone after replacing the battery, then a couple of key steps are omitted, causing problems if precisely followed. However, reversing the disassembly process would work out just fine. The battery seems to be of good quality, and fits and connects perfectly. In my opinion, this is not a DIY project for those not experienced in this type of repair.

It's not worth it. After a full change if doesn't last a full day. Barely better than the old worn out battery.

I was really pleasantly surprised by this kit. I have a Pixel 6 with a battery that died and would no longer take any charge. I got a new phone but could not transfer any files without getting the Pixel 6 turned on. So, I bought the cheapest battery that I could find since I only needed it for one time use. First of all, the battery is from the same manufacturer and has the exact same specs as the original. Then, the tools that came with it were more than adequate for the job and the little Torx driver was especially nice. It's a keeper. One tip: when it comes to prying out the battery, use the pry tool full length from the right side (button side). That is, don't just try prying with one corner of the tool. The tool worked great for prying it out using it full length, but if you just try one corner it will get stressed. The picks worked great, the spludger is at least good enough for the one job, and the tweezers worked fine. The only tool not in the kit that I used was a little heat gun. I'm not sure I really got anything hot enough to make a difference since I was worried about overheating.

I would give a 3.5 if able. I can't speak to the long term capability of the battery yet, but my phone turned on and works. the good: The tools Included are better than I expected. I have an ifixit kit, but ended up not even breaking it out. the price and shipping were unbeatable. I like everyone was lost without my phone. this was a quick solution that got it working again. the bad: instructions to remove the old battery were basic, but decent. the issue is they say install new battery and basically stop. they don't say anything about adhesives, which they do include in the kit. the description says batteries have adhesive already added, which is wrong. I did have strips included in my kit however. they are not labeled or listed as such in any instructions or packing list, but I made an educated guess. the adhesive for the phone screen did not work. the adhesive in one side was not sticky at all. it was ligned up correctly and I placed a weight on it for 4 hours to cure. my phone screen came right off like nothing was there. I ended up having to use some tesa tape I had laying around. all and all, I would be happy to pay $20 for a battery. so I would buy again. the lackluster screen adhesive is only a mild annoyance.

This kit worked very well. Replaced a swollen battery on a Pixel 5 that wouldn't last a full day without recharging. The process of removing the back plate was pretty easy as the swollen battery had already lifted a corner up, making it simple to continue opening. I've now been using this new battery for about 10 months and it's still working great.

So far so good! I just installed two days ago and it's been lasting much longer than the original battery. Will update if something changes soon. But the kit was very nice with all necessary tools included. It also came with instructions with in color photos, with legit descriptions for each step. You have to take your time and be patient because of the small and fragile parts inside. Having never done this before I finished it up in about 1 hour. Definitely recommend in my opinion.
