A good motion-activated bright LED light for less than $50
To be clear, Torchstar provided me with a Bronze 20W Dual-Head Motion Activated LED Outdoor Security Light at no cost for evaluation. If you've read my reviews, I call it as I see it... Windward Hawaii devours anything left outdoors with constant salty wind & rain. I have 6 motion-activated lights around the house. Poorly designed security lights reveal themselves quickly by triggering frequently for no apparent reason. Every motion-activated light will false-trigger. The good ones don't do it very often, the worst ones do it constantly from cheaply made sensors. In 10 days, the Torchstar light false-triggered 6 times that I know of (I don't stay-up all night to monitor it!). The false-triggers were caused by 4 torrential downpours & wind, and 2 unknowns. Unknowns are OK, if they don't happen often. It could be cats since there was no wind -- in which case it's not a false triggering. Torrential rains & wind can trigger any light I've ever installed. So far, this light offers above average sensor performance. To test sensitivity, I tried moving toward it from off to the side -- from out in the yard. Motion sensors are most sensitive at angles, and less sensitive from straight-on. After moving the sensor around to find the best position, (every situation is different), I walked towards it slowly. It came on at about 30 ft. at 45 & 60 degree angles. From straight-on, it activated at about 20 ft. I never came close to the advertised 70 ft. sensitivity, which is typical. I'm sure under ideal conditions, the distance would improve, but in the real world, cut any advertised figure in half. I have one expensive motion light in the front yard facing the street. It's sensor covers 270 degrees, and reaches 50+ ft., but it's made for commercial properties, and cost $150! Heavy rain & wind triggers it too. So far, the Torchstar light seems to be a good motion-activated, very bright LED light. It does everything expected of it -- well. The brightness of the lights is very impressive. Long periods of time in this environment will ultimately reveal if this light can withstand a tropical beating. So far, so good. I will update the review if anything changes... BTW, Costco sells a similar (but different) LED security light. They last about a year. I've had 5 fail -- avoid it. Pros * Blindingly bright, don't look at it! It lights-up my 1/3 acre open-space backyard well * Compact, this is not a big light. It's light-weight too, aiding installation * Rotating shades on each light are a nice touch * Easy light adjustment (which is not the case on some lights) * Very efficient * Cool to the touch Cons * I noticed the white version has a 180 degree (half circle) sensor, the bronze 150. They're about the same price. The white model also moves the sensor farther out-front of the light, improving coverage. If you install a security light on the corner of your house, or along a wall, 180+ degree sensors are a must. Since I mounted the bronze version on a wall, it was possible to sneak-up very close to the light, but at 6 ft. it got me. 150 degree sensors have a more limited use. If the area you need covered is limited by trees, or is an alleyway or walkway, then 150 degree sensors are preferable. If mounted to cover wider areas, 150 degree lights can be thwarted by walking on the extreme sides. * Neutral colors better coordinate with a wider range of house color & surroundings. Bronze doesn't match much except a redwood tree or a log cabin! White or gray would be better, I might spray-paint mine ...

Good looking fixture. Great looking 3000k temp
Looks and feels like a nice quality light. 3000k color temp looks much better than the bright white motion lights. Perfect for lighting walkways where you don't want a super white security color look. However 1st light I ordered arrived defective. It mainly worked as intended but would turn on without motion and stay on for up to thirty minutes. Replacement light works fine.

Bright, Reliable, and Built to Last
Bright, Reliable, and Built to Last This LEONLITE COB LED security light really impressed me with both brightness and build quality. The two adjustable heads put out a crisp daylight glow (5000K) that easily covers a wide section of my driveway and side yard. The light kicks on quickly with motion, and the sensor has been reliable so far without false triggers from small branches swaying. I especially like that it offers three operating modes—motion-activated, dusk-to-dawn, and manual switch control—so I can adapt it depending on the season or situation. The housing feels solid with its aluminum body, much sturdier than the plastic units I’ve replaced in the past. It’s IP65 rated, so I’m confident it can handle heavy rain without issue. Installation was straightforward thanks to clear wiring and mounting instructions. The heads and sensor are all adjustable, so I was able to fine-tune coverage to avoid pointing directly at the neighbor’s windows. If there’s one thing to keep in mind, it’s that this is very bright—great for security, but you’ll want to aim it carefully if mounted near walkways or low height areas so it’s not blinding when triggered. Bottom line: A dependable, versatile, and very bright outdoor security light with quality construction. If you’re looking for long-lasting performance and reliable motion detection, this is a solid choice.

Nice Light That’s A Easy to Install
Easy to install and works as intended. Originally purchased “Like New” Amazon return that was $10 cheaper, but it was broken and missing important components for installation. Thankfully was able to return it for a new one that works perfectly. Beware of so called Amazon return “values”.

COMPLETE TRASH DO NOT BUY! READ REVIEWS. Wish I could give a zero star rating.
These lights are utter garbage. I read the reviews and saw some of the complaints and figured people just were unlucky and got defective units, however I purchased two of these and I can confirm the product is garbage. Amazon should be ashamed for selling these. First problem I ran into was a bit of a quality control issue. The screw which secures the light to the anker on one pair of my lights would not fit, I got it in halfway after some elbow grease and it was too dark to dismantle the light so I just left it up and figured I would take it down and contact the company the following day. When I switched the lights on is where the real deal breaker came in. The lights flicker ON AND OFF ON AND OFF, HAS BEEN DOING IT FOR ALMOST AN HOUR NOW. It's like the lights cannot determine whether it is dark enough outside to remain on so they just come on and go off. After about 30mins of flickering one of the lights has remained on (I have them set to dusk til dawn. I'm about to go outside and set them to auto and hope that keeps them off until i have enough light tomorrow to uninstall them) This has been a terrible experience and I saw others complain about the lights having this same issue but then the title and description had said these were second generation lights so I figured what ever issue they had was fixed. I lhave two of these and they have the same issue so I know it's not a coincidence. It's dark out right now and it's still flickering on and off. I recorded a video which I will upload soon. Spend the extra money and save yourselves all the extra work of having to install these and then uninstall them. I just got these in the mail today and am having problems already. I will be contacting amazon customer service shortly to report this product. This is by far the worst purchasing experience I have ever had on amazon, and I primarily use amazon becuase I have trust in the products they supply. DO NOT BUY THESE, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.D

Good quality unit
I started by shopping for a cheaper light, but decided to pay more because the cheap ones are exactly that. I am happy with my choice. You will be too. The unit is solid and well made. The motion sensor has three adjustments that give it flexibility. It is plenty bright for illuminating the driveway in front of my house and I trigger the light by walking about 25 - 30 ft. away, maybe more, but I haven't tested it for distance. A few items you should take note of. 1. This is labelled as being for a wall mount and the mounting instructions show it that way. I needed it for an under-the-eave mount so I had to rotate the motion sensor head about 180 to get it positioned properly between the lights. It wasn't easy because it is very tightly fastened into the housing and gripping the nut inside the housing is difficult with any kind of pliers. 2. It pays to read the instructions and set the settings on the sensor before you install the light. It is simply easier to see what you are doing. Note that the length of time it stays on goes from 5 SECONDS to 55 MINUTES. You need to turn the adjustment at least 1/4 of the arc to get it to stay on for just a few minutes. It's an odd scale for setting time. 3. It can be helpful to put a little super glue on the edge of the housing and then press the gasket onto it so that the gasket stays evenly positioned around the edges of the housing. It is always a pain to keep the gasket centered when you are trying to shove wires into the housing at the same time. 4. When you are done, you can wrap white electrical tape around the joint where the light attaches to the electrical junction box to help keep water out. Caulk is messy.

Unable to use
Needs a junction box for fitting to wall via bracket. Junction box not included and could not find a suitable one anywhere!

THE Junction box MUST be supplied with this item to enable wall fitting.
Spotlight is good quality. The big problem is fitting it to a wall. It needs a special junction box (presumably the one illustrated in the assembly instructions which is specifically designed for the fittings supplied with the spotlight). When ordering the spotlight the need for a junction box is not mentioned, nor is it shown in the details on the Amazon website, therefore the assumption is that it can be fitted in the same way as a normal UK spotlight. THIS IS NOT THE CASE.
