I always save these when they come in shoe boxes, etc. Purchased to use in an antique piece when I discovered a bit of white mold on the inside of this piece. These work, no smell, they don’t absorb moisture. They just keep it in check. I also use these in shoes after wearing & with my linens.

So far I’ve had Zero issues with these gel pacs…They’re a little smaller than a sugar packet, the packets are not hard or overly full and seem to absorb just fine…I haven’t had to try the microwave trick to see if they’ll come back to life after they get wet, but I kinda doubt I would try that anyway…tg

The silica packs are perfect for keeping moi tire out of different products: jewelry, art work ,pictures, misc. They work great change color when they have filled with moisture and there are directions to dry and reuse. The fit into small spaces and are a good price for the product. The packets themselves are nicely sealed and beads don’t leak.

I love these packets! I used to toss them years ago; as I’ve moved & traveled a lot; I find them invaluable. Now I throw away the cheap inadvertent broken / smelly ones etc. I’d gotten in / with items I’d bought. I purchased these - they are made / packaged well & they should last a while. I use them in tech & camera / bags, duffles, luggage, storage container etc. So easy to use. Simply put in the bag, tote, package, box etc. There is no scent. I’ve never seen them in other colors which is good - they are not a toy nor to be consumed so the white color is a heads up. I use these packets in / around “things”. There are more specialized ones that are food grade. So research, read carefully and / or contact the manufacturers directly, if that’s what you need. I plan to purchase these again for my “stuff”. Note: I have not recently flown or traveled internationally with these in my luggage or bags.
