Im very happy with what came in the box :) The compass isn't fantastic but at a push it would probably be handy. For the price it's very good value! I've taken some of the bits out, like the torch and clips and replaced them with some other bits and bobs. The case is sturdy and fairly thick. Im not sure the hinge will last long if you are constantly opening and closing it. Overall, for the money (£25 i think i paid) it's very good. The saw works pretty good, the little torch is fantastic....id highly recommend this product given the amount of stuff you get and the overall quality.

I had to use this when I got into trouble on Dartmoor. I weigh 85kg and when I got stuck the rope was strong enough to pull me out of a hole where my lower body was stuck. I also used the carabiners to a good extent to hold my kit and to attach other items such as the flashlight, however they’re not very strong so don’t rely on them for anything such a abseiling or holding a large amount of weight. The firestriker is always handy and effective, I'm yet to use the foil blanket but the rest of the kit is effective and is very useful when out and about. Always keep it in my car.

A decent set. Sturdy case and useful kit. Striker on ferreous rod isn't great, but works well with a steel blade (don't forget you need to scrape the black protective coating off the rod to make sparks). Compass works well as does whistle. Paracord is decent (not sure it is 520, but would work well to bind a shelter). Good paracord bracelet. Saw seems decent, but yet to test it. Caribiners seem sturdy enough and torch functions fine. Would have been useful to have some tinder and a mini fishing or sewing kit in there too, but decent for the price (had a fiver off deal, though prob wouldn't have got it for £18.99).

Great collection of survival stuff,decent quality, I have just started camping and use just about all of it (not the mylar blanket yet). The saw works, the compass is good, the fire starter is my standard fire starter now. The torch is good quality, and the whistle is first class. Very happy with this at the price I paid

Good little kit but very hard to put everything back together after taking anything out. If the box was just a little bit bigger it would be great!

Bought as I'm going camping soon and I'd like to practice more bushcraft, building campfires from scratch etc. I went with this kit over others as it contained the 10m of rope which will be useful for making shelters and the compass is a functional clear plastic with a strap (other kits had metal handheld compasses). All seems good so far, would recommend!

My 11 year old son loved this. It contains useful survival gear in a sturdy black box at a good price. The first kit had a faulty compass but the company efficiently processed a return and re-order. Delivery was fast both times. Thank you.

Really good product but... It came fast and everything was packed nicely and good quality, I was a bit disappointed with the compass though, it had a big buble inside of it whitch affected its use, other than that everything else was awsome. Perfect for your rucksack on the day to day due to its lightness. If going bushcrafting tho I would recommend you take a few more bits of equipment eg axe and knife unless you want a solid challenge XD
