Great kit, best disc I've found
I'd been using Softcups (rebranded to Softdiscs) disposable discs as an alternative material option off and on for years, but they had enough flaws that I wasn't comfortable using them consistently and most period underwear can't keep up with my heavy flow (those that do get a bit uncomfortable after a full day of working and period-ing)...So when I first started seeing reusable discs, I was completely on board. I've tried at least four brands and can say that for me Pixie is BY FAR the most comfortable to wear, easiest to insert and remove, and least likely to leak. Getting discs properly inserted is paramount to avoiding leaks or untimely emptying (yes, this has happened to me with other discs, no I couldn't save the pants). Thankfully Pixie's silicone material is stronger than it looks, but is still soft enough that it's comfortable to wear 99% of the time; there's a great pliability to firmness ratio which means it can "pinch" pretty easily, but won't fold up on itself the second you try to insert it or fly out of your hands across the bathroom or straight into the toilet if you don't have a voice grip. It also "opens" easily once you let go - no having to fight with it to get it into place or do a weird dance standing over the toilet (unless you want to, I guess - you do you). I was worried that the "tail" might irritate my bits (I'm prone to uti's if there's too much -erm- jostling in certain areas) or would snap right off the first time I tried to remove the disc, but so far I have had zero issues. By the time I got this kit I was already kind of an old pro at inserting, removing, and emptying discs in general, but the wipes and lube included do make the process much easier and save me from some of the anxiety caused by having to empty my disc while out/at work. Oh, and in case you're curious (I was, and you're welcome), you probably don't want to use the lube for anything *else*; it dries/absorbs relatively quickly and has a less than pleasant flavor. II did have one instance of leakage, but that was my own learning curve issue of knowing the "feel" of this disc being properly inserted and whether or not the shape was conducive to it self-correcting (it's not, in my case. If it's not placed right, I need to take it out and try again). Side note for those shopping around: My second favorite is the reusable disc by Cora, which that works great, but is an absolute pain to insert and remove without feeling like I need a surgical crew on standby (yes, even with the "convenient" tab you're supposed to be able to grip with a finger). Apparently I have a higher-sitting cervix and shorter fingers than whoever that disc is designed for.

Most comfortable menstrual device I've ever used!
This review is a bit late, as I bought this kit last year. However, it took a few months of practice and more months of regular wear before I felt comfortable giving it a proper review. I love this little disc. It's SO much more comfortable than pads and even tampons. I've been wanting to move away from disposable supplies and use something more sustainable and the Pixie Cup was my first foray into reusable menstrual supplies. While there was a bit of a learning curve, it was pretty easy to use! If you can insert a tampon, you can insert the Pixie Cup. I did have a few issues with positioning the disc once inserted, but there are plenty of videos/resources online that help with that. I also appreciated that the Pixie Cup comes with a removal string. I've been hesitant to try a menstrual cup, because I've heard a lot about the suction issues (😬), so I love it. The kit comes with everything you need to maintain the disc, including cleaning solution, a soaking cup and lubrication (which is really helpful when prepping for the start of your cycle). My only gripe is that the wipes it comes with aren't individually packaged; that would have been a great help for use on the go. On a final note, I love that this is a semi-local small business (yay, Missouri!). If you've been curious about trying a menstrual disc, this is a great starting place. The choice of sizes, provided cleaning supplies and neat little bag make it well worth the money!

first time disc user- successfully converted
i’ve been using menstrual cups since 2018 and i’m getting suspicious that the suction is giving me pelvic floor issues, because every period recently my cervix feels lower and i could no longer pee around the cup it sat so low. so i ordered this kit & it made learning to use my disc so easy!! i just wrapped up my first period using it start to end & im impressed. i used the pixie wash once a day & the wipes came in hand in public fr, ill be buying more for my purse. i didn’t think id need the pixie lube but it actually made insertion so much easier so i use it every time i put it in at home, usually after cleaning it with the gel in the shower. its not hard to use in public, id rate it less messy than a cup and about equal footing with tampons as long as you’re careful. i paired the big size with light coverage period panties for my heavy days & had no issues. on the light days i tried the small one and liked it. i appreciate the 2 sizes helping me get my bearings, and i think my perf size would be something in between bc there is a big difference. the price for everything you get is 100% worth it!!! and i had no issues using the bathroom, no pressure on my bladder, and i think i was right about the cup suction being bad because my pelvic floor hasn’t felt as low this week. i should add im only 24 i had one baby in 2020 via c section so i really shouldn’t even be having pelvic issues, if ur a long term cup user considering the switch i would definitely go for it because the disc feels way less noticeable & seems like it will put less stress on everything down there. i had “auto dumping” while pushing to use the bathroom, and repositioning is easy, you just tuck it back behind the pubic bone and ur done. that’s the only time it happened for me, it stayed in place while working retail, bending, squatting, sneezing etc. the only thing i didn’t try was the supposed “mess free period sex”, i don’t think that would work so don’t get in a hurry to throw out the towel and jump on the bed lol

Amazing product highly recommend
The kit was amazing everything inside is so helpful and a great price. The quality is awesome and while I just started using discs this has been an amazing set to start me out with. I did find that I wanted a small and the kit only came with a medium and large and so I emailed them and got a reply same day that they would ship one to me. This is a great product and company and I will definitely be buying from them again. Highly recommended!

Really practical
I thought this kit was really practical because it comes with a little bit of everything you might need. The cleaner, the storage items, and especially the applicator all make the experience feel a lot easier and more comfortable. Personally, I’ve been using menstrual discs for quite a while now, so I don’t really need the applicator anymore. But when I was first starting out, I think I would have found it extremely helpful. If you’re new to menstrual discs and feeling a little nervous about using one correctly, this kit can definitely make the learning process easier. That said, if you’ve been using discs for a long time, know your body well, and are already comfortable inserting and removing them with your fingers, you may not feel like you need all the extras. Still, everything included in the kit is useful and it’s nice to have different options for cleaning, storing, and caring for your disc. Overall, I think it’s a great kit, especially for beginners, but even experienced users will probably find themselves using most of the items that come with it.

Love the brand
The discs did not work for me, HOWEVER!!! the customer service is amazing, they even gave me a refund a year after purchasing. The products are well made, the disc form does not work for me (even with other brands, so it is not Pixie's fault). Having this bundle is so nice to start out with, gives you everything you need. Love the brand!

Great first time user kit, but beware of leakage
The insertion tool is really helpful to get the disc in all the way, especially when it's your first time using it. I tried using just my fingers, and it just doesn't sit right, so the tool helps with this. It's great for the most part, but leaked when doing heavy lifting at the gym--so I recommend wearing liners/pads/period underwear when doing physical exercise. Other than that, it's very comfortable when worn correctly and easy to clean with hot water and/or cleaning solution. I do not wear it for the full 12 hours like advertised, maybe 4-5 at most, because that's when it starts leaking more.

Learning as I go but love
Tried this for the first time recently, or shall I say currently. I have to say, I’m so glad I did! First off, I usually have super bad cramps and discomfort during my period but don’t this time around. Can’t help but find that a little too coincidental that I have yet to feel my usual gross when using the disc vs. my typical tampons. Secondly, it’s so nice to not worry about having enough tampons with me or the worry of being near a bathroom once I could tell my tampon had reached its limits. I will say however, there is a bit of a learning curve. I tried out the disc before my period started, to get the hang of it and gage the new feeling if you will. Totally fine and quite comfortable. But once my period had started I couldn’t get the disc to its resting place without the applicator. So glad I got the starter kit which included it!! I did pinch my inner thigh using the applicator the first couple times. Not horribly but it didn’t not feel good either. Now I’m learning how to tell if my disc is placed correctly once inserted. As one could imagine, I’m questioning it, as I can feel the rim of the disc at times. BUT, I’m not leaking, like at all, so I’m thinking my personal anatomy just lets me feel that. I did however, purchase a sanitizing machine (same brand from Amazon) that plugs in, to keep in my bathroom. I personally found it a bit cumbersome to come up and down the stairs to sanitize my disc. But that’s just me. Again, I’m currently in the throws of giving this product a first time try and am learning as I go. So far, super happy I found this product! Update: Absolutely LOVED this!! Just bought more discs direct from Pixie Cup 💜

No applicator in the kit
I ordered this because I wanted the applicator. My package didn’t come with an applicator which is unfortunate

Good starter bundle & applicator (sold separately)
Update: I have found that practicing the scooping method when using the disc works really well. So far it seems to be in place and there have been no leaks. Admittedly, I'm only at the beginning of my cycle so time will tell as I get a bit heavier whether it is in place properly or not. For those that might find the pull string a bit uncomfortable, I found tucking it under the bottom of the disc keeps it out of the way and prevents rubbing but is also then easy to access when you need to pull the cup out. ----------- Original review: I bought these because I was desperate to get away from big towels, especially during the heatwave. I find the idea of these easier and a little less 'invasive' than cups especially as there is no suction holding it in place so you can easily pull it out (my hands get stiff from time to time so I lose movability). I found it easy to put in, however, on the day I used them my cervix decided to shift towards my tail bone and I found, even with the applicator, I couldn't quite get it 'tucked' at the back. So I invested in the pixie cup too. This isn't a fault with the product and I have kept them for the days my cervix behaves itself as I felt it was much easier to put the disc in than the cup, especially with checking if it had opened properly. Pros- Excellent bundle. Having 2 different sizes helps you to find your 'fit'. The sanitising bowl is fantastic. I used it both ways, in the microwave and with boiled water fresh from the kettle. Easy to do either. Having the cleansing gel and wipes means you always know your product is clean before reuse. The travel lube is handy too, so if you do need to empty and reuse your disc whilst out it means you don't need to carry a big pump/bottle around with you. The little canvas bags are colour matched to the colour of the disc which makes it easier to see which size you're grabbing without having to open them all. And they all fit nicely in the black bag for monthly storage. Cons- If your cervix shifts you may find it a bit tricky to get into the right position. It is possible but requires a bit of practice, which is why I'll try again on my next cycle, even if I shift, to see if I can get it to work. ******** Frustratingly, I cannot review the applicator separately so I will do it here. I found this applicator is very good for helping to keep the disc folded during insertion as, due to my hands, I was finding it tricky to keep it folded. Being able to change the end of the 'plunger' part to match the size of the disc is also handy. The only issue I have is the cleaning aspect. Yes, it can be cleaned with water and a suitable cleanser but I find it tricky to rinse inside the applicator, especially if it's been a messy insertion. Having a small brush like item to help with this would make it even better. It is larger than a super plus tampon but I found using lube made using this really easy. Definitely worth the investment if you struggle to keep your disc folded whilst inserting.
