Writing this review while I mourn them being out of stock. As a person with both adhd and autism, remembering to eat is always the first problem. Finding something that I CAN eat is the second one, and fist fighting both of those things three times a day every day takes more than I've got. I've hit 95 pounds before and getting above 100 is a challenge. (Besties you dont wanna be this skinny, my joints don't work) So thank GOD for Soylent, genuinely. I usually drink one of these a day around dinner, and it actually keeps me feeling full and energized for HOURS, which is saying a lot because my metabolism is fast enough to turn a full stomach into an empty growling one in about 10 minutes. Whether or not I get a stomach ache on a completely empty stomach when I drink this is normally a toss up, but the amount of food I need to ingest to keep it from happening is usually at minimum like 3 (three) cashews. I have recommended these to all my friends, and those who've taken me up on it have given back raving reviews. (as they should, this stuff is great) The taste is always consistent depending on the flavor, the texture is consistent as well, and more than anything the flavor isn't too much, which means it never leaves the safe food category. While I do need to switch flavors around occasionally, I've tried almost all of them and the only one I'm not fond of is vanilla, but that's personal preference and not because its not good. Just a tiny bit too sweet in the wrong direction for me. B'cause, you know. It tastes like actual vanilla. And I still finished that whole box of 12 too, which is saying something because normally I will simply lose the capacity to consume anything the moment my body decides it doesn't like it. On that note. FLAVORS!! The base taste, which you can get from the original and get hints of from all the regular flavors, is basically kinda like just thick oat milk. It's really nice, and there's only a tiny :pinch: hint of sweetness in there. It doesn't have any problems with oiliness or whatnot, its just... Thicker oat milk. Normally there's a chemical spike in the flavor of drinks like these that is absolutely completely incompatible with my palette but Soylent doesn't have it. (Yippee!) The strawberry tastes like actual strawberries too, not that overly sugary fake flavoring most folks use. You get the tang and the light sweetness, and that's it. It's a strawberry oat milk smoothie in all but ingredients and name. Chocolate milk deadass tastes like chocolate oat milk, full stop. No faux sweetness, no regular over-sweetness, no nothin. Chocolate milk is what you buy, choccy milk is what you get. These also keep very well. I don't even need to refrigerate them, though they are better cold. I can just pop one in my backpack and drink it when I need it! I also did buy a lead testing kit after getting warnings from friends and family, and every one I tested came out completely lead free as they should be. Thank god, because I swear if I lost this as a darn safe food I'd be ruined. Also I'm 95% sure it is successfully people free. Aside from perhaps the genius minds that made this stuff but hopefully those stay out of the recipe.

Best liquid meal replacement product
Excellent meal replacement - very tasty, high calories, no sugar, low calcium amount. I wish the other taste kinds would also be sold through Amazon, ordering from Soylent's own site is not as convenient.

Creamy chocolate Soylent drink UPDATE 11/29/2025
This is what will be 1st of many reviews of Soylent. I am in my 60's, 6' tall, 165 lbs. I never really cared for food. I eat because I know I have to. What I eat isn't very nutricious(?). Mostly frozen dinners heated in oven. I don't pay much attention to calories becuse I'm underweight for my height. Basically very healthy for my age - no diabetes, arthritis, never smoked and very little alcahol years ago. So Soylent sounds great. I ordered a 12 pack after recently getting blood test I'll use as a base line. I put bottles in refrig over night. 1st impression: Smells like any chocolate milk I ever smelled. Tastes pretty good to me. I prefer cold to room temp. I feel a little misled thinking a bottle will replace a meal which is how I took the promotion of Soylent. But as the bottle shows (and their promotion does indicate), one bottle contains 20% of most nutrients you need per day. So you need 5 bottles a day to get 100% of daily requirements based on a 2000 calorie diet. I don't eat 5 meals a day. And I'm closer to 1500 calories a day. My plan: I'm going to start by drinking 1 bottle per day to replace the desert I have after dinner. If I have no ill side effects and don't lose any weight in a month, I'll start 2 per day instead of lunch. My goal is 3 per day plus dinner with steady weight but better blood work which I'll have in 6 months with my annual physical. Cost: At approx $4/bottle $12/day is probably about what I spend on my unhealthy frozen dinner diet. If I can get better nutrician, I can talk myself into even 4 bottles a day - will see. Will keep you posted. UPDATE - Day 24: I am guessing the magnesium ( like in Milk of Magnesia) in Soylent is acting as a stool softener and has caused diarhea for the last 3 days so I paused the experiment until I figure how to counter this - maybe take "spore probiotics" daily? I'm not willing to quit - just a set back. UPDATE June 2025 I guess I'm lactose intollerant. I now take a probiotic twice a day and helps a little with the diahria issue. I now drink 2 bottles of Soylent a day which replaces my evening dessert and afternoon snack, I still eat the unhealthy frozen meals for lunch and dinner. I haven't gained nor lost any weight (not my intention to lose any) UPDATE July 2025 I now drink a 3rd Soylent 4 days a week to replace breakfast meal ( frozen waffles or sausage, egg & cheese on croisante). Still haven't gained or lost any weight. Unexpected perk - my blood pressure dropped from 140s/80s to 120s/70s. In case it's due to dehydration, I drink a gatorade once a day besides 2 glasses of water and the 2 to 3 Soylents. Next update will be in Nov when I have my annual physical with blood work and discuss Soylent with my dr. UPDATE Nov 2025 Dr. appt went well though blood work wasn't as perfect as I expected. Cholesteral and blood pressure were much better but others didn't show as much improvement as I expected. My dr. was more impressed than I was. I still rate 5 stars - this is a very good choice for those of us who are not into food.

For days I can't eat.
I have some GI issues, and some days eating solid food is either nauseating or just otherwise wholly unappealing. I have a dairy intolerance (not lactose-- DAIRY) that aggravates my eczema, and I can't stand pea protein. Soy is 100% A-OK for me. I found this while searching for a suitable meal replacement, and to my surprise the chocolate flavor tastes *exactly* like chocolate ensure. Is Ensure the most delicious thing out there? No of course not. Is this the most delicious thing out there? No, of course not. It's a meal replacement drink, not a gourmet shake. But the important thing is that I don't get sick of it. I'm currently waiting on my next shipment lamenting the fact that I'm out because my stomach is not cooperating. Of course, as the product description mentions, this is not a replacement for every meal. But if you're like me, and it's between this and nothing at all, this is a thousand times better than nothing at all. For those who are curious, I get shaky, grumpy, and mean, then I don't want to eat for the rest of the day. This helps my stomach "wake up" so that I can go on to eat solid food for the rest of the day. I'm not a medical professional by any stretch, but I know my body. If your needs are similar to mine, then I recommend giving this a try.
