Don’t just get fit, get Davina Fit . It’s much more fun that way. I promise. Review: Feeling it....!!! Lol. - Massive fan of Davinas dvds since they helped me shed my pre-wedding & baby weight. I have found with all dvds to be a part of something & feeling involved in achieving results. Got Davina Fit yesterday & did two workouts back to back today, aerobit fit & kick fit. Both are high intensity & yes, I will feel it tomorrow. I have read some comments where people feel they aren't getting a good hard workout like with Davinas previous dvds. Understanding where they are coming from, I would advise anyone buying this dvd to combine two workouts & vary over 3-4 workouts per week. I did the warm up for aerobic fit & did cooldown with kickfit. Great abs workout in kick fit!!! For the record I have lost over 5 stone combining a healthy diet & using Davinas total body workout dvd. Used combined workouts 4 times a week & felt great. It takes determination & motivation, if you've got it you'll see results. Used to go to gym but since having my little bundle of joy last year, time is very limited as most mums will know. This dvd is great for people with not a great deal of time but want to incorporate a workout when they can using the 30mins sections. If you have more time then opt to do back-to-back workouts & you'll feel the burn. Loads of new moves & the music is great. Davina is her usual bright bubbly self. Totally get her humour. Jackie & Mark are a job well done, seeing Davina giving it her all is great motivation for me to work harder. Will do total body workout & this dvd, will sift between the two as I love them both. Would throughly recommend this dvd for reasons mentioned. Best of luck! Review: A bit addicted to Davina! - I should probably start off by saying that I'm not Davina's target audience. Not that I know what 'audience' she produces these DVDs for, but as a guy in his mid twenties I doubt she had me in mind when she came up with her range of fitness DVDs. However, as I now have them all (just this minute ordered the new one Ultimate Target!) I thought I really should review them. Davina Fit. I can honestly say this is probably one of, if not my favourite, Davina DVD. I find each self-contained workout challenging and fun, and end up feeling like I've had a decent exercise session. Using the range of DVDs she's brought out, between May and September last year I lost just over 4 stone. I ate sensibly (as Davina suggests) and did a Davina DVD 4-5 times a week. Starting a new job and Christmas meant I just sort of stopped and put half of the weight back on, but within two weeks of doing Davina DVDs this year and going back to not pigging out, I've lost almost a stone, and I use this one a lot! Aerobic Fit -- Did this one this morning at 6am and I'm sure at that time of the morning it seems harder than normal. That said, it's done by Jackie and gets you moving from the warm-up and all the way through. There's even some ab work towards the end, and I hate ab work, but I feel like I've achieved something by the end of it. There's a lot of jumping and knee lifts and jogging and gets your heart rate up. Top Fit -- Mark gets working with weights and some floor stuff to get your upper body toned. They've even thrown in some fat burning intervals so that you're still burning fat. I'm reliably informed that the more muscle you have the more calories you burn so pumping the weights and getting your heart rate up must be working wonders. I use 3kg weights at the moment and I can just about complete each exercise including all the reps. Bottom Fit -- I hate and love this section in equal measures. I'm always quite smug after finishing this because Mark really does gives your legs a pasting and works me harder I think than just mainly cardio like Aerobic Fit. There's even some interval minutes thrown in. They say it's to get your heart rate up but honestly I think it gives your legs a break. Hard going, but well worth it. Kick Fit -- My favourite. I love all kick-fit/boxercise routines and I found that out after doing Davina's Three 30 Minute workouts. It's intensive and a bit tricky but after a few goes I can do the routines and really get into it. I certainly feel it in my upper arms later on and gets my heart pumping. Overall? I love this DVD. I know some people say this is 'easier' that some of her other DVDs and they don't like the self-contained warm-up and cool down in each routine. Honestly? I like that they're part of the work out. In an ideal world I'd prefer them to be 45 minute exercise routines so that you get 30 minutes of solid working out, but that said, the work I do in twenty minutes between warming up and cooling down really is hard work not to mention the bonus Yoga stretch. And before or after an eleven hour day, most of it spent on my feet with a class of 30 children aged under 10, this is more than enough of a workout for me! I'd highly recommend this DVD and try and get a section or two into my week each week. I really enjoy watching Davina and her personality, grunts and groans not to mention positive outlook really spurs me on when I think I can't make it to the end. Jackie and Mark are a great team and their encouragement and humour makes you feel part of their little 'gang' and are better than most/all of those bland model type presenters and their celebrity clients. Well worth the money, good for beginners and those advancing to intermediate!!

Just a bit too much counting...
I own all of Davina's DVDs now and this one is definitely up there with the high standard of the others! As a student I do not have a regular routine and so I enjoy being able to workout for just 30mins when I'm not feeling that motivated and an hour and a half when I am! This dvd allows you to do this but is only really great if you're doing 30mins since each section has its own warm-up and cooldown. If I want to do an hour or longer it is quite frustrating to do a warm-up for every section when I am already ready to go, but I feel compelled to do it because each warm-up is tailored to each section. I much prefer the style of Davina's High Energy Five, which is very similar to Fit with its 20min sections that target different areas, but because it has only one warm-up and one cooldown I feel like I've had a solid 40 minute workout in between rather than an hour but with a 10 minute 'break' in the middle. Other than that the content of the workouts is brilliant and I always come away feeling energised and motivated to keep it up! Many people have noted how much Davina, Jackie and Mark (her instructors) talk during the workout - both positively and negatively. I personally find them a welcome distraction to the workout, especially if I am feeling particularly lazy that day, and it really gives me a boost when I see them having fun and laughing! So, I have never found this a problem on any of the dvds, although I can understand that if you are not a Davina fan this could prove problematic (although most of the dvds have a Mostly Music option which can be great for a change once you've got hang of the moves). The only niggle I have with regards to the dialogue on Fit is how much Davina counts. Like I said above I really enjoy the banter and the chat, so to have it replaced by monotonous counting is very jarring and unmotivating - the last thing I want to hear after I've done 20 squats is Davina carrying on counting to inform me I have another 20 to do! Without the counting, and with slightly longer workouts I would have definitely given this dvd 5 stars! I would recommend Super Body Workout over Fit for the chance to mix and match a bit more but this is great when you don't have the time for those longer workouts. Bring on the next dvd!

Davina Fit DVD - LOVE IT!
I'm a Davina fitness DVD junkie and have done every one of them many times, so I bought this new addition to my collection as soon as it hit the shelves. In terms of format, there are 4 x 1/2 hour self-contained workouts (ie each has it's own warm up and cool down), plus a short yoga section for some extra stretching and improving flexibility. The 4 main sections are Aerobics Fit, Top Fit, Bottom Fit, and Kick Fit - all pretty self explanatory. If you've done any of Davina's DVDs before you'll have a fair idea of what to expect ie Jackie being very encouraging, technique-focussed, and offering the lower impact versions of the exercises; whilst Mark is the tougher of the two, pushing the reps but still making it enjoyable. Davina is her usual enthusiastic self and thankfully has toned down her interruptions which are fun the first few times but grate a little in time (skipping rope story anyone?!) So is it any good - absolutely! I would say that after Power of Three, this has become my favourite DVD - the combination and length of routines is perfect (it is probably best to do 2 of them back-to-back for a good hour and follow with the yoga stretch to get real results). There's an ab blast on every one of the 4 workouts so you always get a bit of core work in. The music is a definite improvement on the last few (what happened to the volume on High Energy Five Aerobics???) and really helps keep you going. Special credit has to go to the Bottom Fit section which has literally changed the shape of the top of my legs in just a few weeks - it's a gut wrencher! So overall - I would recommend this to anyone - if you are a first timer then work up to the reps and enjoy the chemistry between the trainers and their celeb (who is a terrific inspiration - mother of 3 and obviously in great shape). If you are already a gym buddy then use heavier weights in Top Fit and put in some serious effort in the cardio sections. Enjoy!

Great for all abilities! Making me enjoy exercise
I bought this dvd about 2 weeks ago based on reviews & I am absolutely thrilled. I was previously a gym bunny for 8 months going 2/3 times a week, but due to personal things and time, I eventually couldn't justify the benefits against the cost. So gradually I've lost fitness and toning. This was my first fitness dvd and its great. Its great as each section has a warm up and warm down, and what I love most is that even though you may be doing the "bottom fit" section you still do a bit of abs, and with "top fit" you still do some arm work, this is great, as it means you're still doing an all over workout & the focused workout. Davina is fun in this, she doesn't natter on, and there is a great rapor between all 3 of them, it feels friendly and welcoming. For those hard core gym lovers who worry this might be too easy, its not! I always work up a sweat! First time after doing the bottom fit section I could hardly walk! You feel the benefits of it immediately, and after 2 weeks of about 7 workouts I am starting to feel/see the benefits. This dvd is also great for beginners, the moves aren't complicated, and moves are in done in repetitions of 4, 8 or 16, so you never get bored or too exhausted from one move. I like being able to pick and choose which part I want to workout and because each section is only 30mins long, its great to fit in around a busy day. I'm so glad I bought this, I actually enjoy it and feel every proud after doing it! Great dvd, great value, suitable for all fitness ranges!

Does what it says on the tin!
I finally caved into buying one of these DVD workouts because I had to admit that post-baby the only way I'm going to get much exercise in is by using naptimes - I just can't get out running so much now. A fitness pro mate of mine said the Davina ones were good and safe. What I liked: - Having four self-contained workouts, each 30 minutes long. It's good to rotate the four and get in one of each every week. - The format, with her flaked by two trainers; having three people on the screen makes it easier to work out what to do. - The workouts themselves are fine, as far as I can tell. What I didn't like: - She really is quite patronising!! - They don't mention anywhere that you need weights to do the 'top fit' workout. I have never had weights and have no idea what weight I personally need. So that one is wasted until I can find out and get hold of something suitable to use. - There is quite a disparity between the levels of work. The 'aerobic fit' one is quite gentle; the 'bottom fit' one I found a bit of a killer! But I get a little exercise each day, which is what I was after, so it's fine.

I love the 30 minute work out format, it works for me :)
I decided to buy this DVD because I have owned, loved and got loads of use out of Davina's 30 minute workout DVD that I bought a few years ago. Personally I like exercising in 30 minute bursts as I get bored easily. I love working out but 30 minutes is plenty for me and I'd rather do that several times a week and really push myself to do it 'hard' than do a couple of longer workouts a week. If you prefer longer workouts then maybe this DVD isn't the one for you, although you could always skip the cool down and go straight onto the next section if you want more! If you are super fit then you might not find this particularly challenging, but I still think it does you lots of good. I'm quite a fit person and don't find this painful... but since getting back into Davina's 30 minute workouts more regularly over the last 6 weeks or so (having stopped running due to cold weather and snow!) I've been pleasantly surprised to see the effects of a more full body workout on my body. I feel very fit, more toned all over and my flexibility is also increasing (I'm normally prone to stiffness and back pain). I think Davina's target audience is the 30+ market so if you're looking for something young and funky this may not tick the boxes for you, but I love this DVD. I like Davina, find her entertaining without taking the focus away from the workout and Mark and Jackie are both great at what they do. On this DVD I particularly enjoy the Aerobic Fit workout as it's really dancy and fun to do, but they are all good and the abs sections are definitely enough to make a difference. My mummy tummy is much more under control than it was before I got back into my Davina workouts ;) thanks Davina, Jackie and Mark; keep churning them out - and next time you make another one with the 30 minute format it will be on my Christmas list!

Great workout DVD, recommeded to add to any fitness collection
Davina, Mark and Jackie have come up with a very good and engaging fitness DVD once again. I hope they continue to bring out DVD's of this calibre every year. The thing I like about this DVD is that all the workouts are 30 minutes long (give or take a minute here and there) the 30 minutes match in with my lifestyle much better than the 40 minute ones from last year, however if you wanted a longer workout you can put two together, its entirely up to you and good to have the choice. The Aerobics fit section is the hardest one of all, you don't really get any chance to rest if you are doing the intermediate to advance option, it is relentless with the jumping, which really puffs you out, I am an intermediate exerciser, but I was out of puff so much I had to march on the spot for a little before getting on with the jumping! The top fit, is good with interval training so you can burn calories, but without this I feel this work out would be a little boring and you would feel you were not working to your best potential, but the intervals make up for this. The Bottom fit is great, I really enjoyed this and you can feel it working on your legs and butt straight away. My favourite section is the Kick fit, this is very well paced and gets you out of breath in a nice way, but without it being uncomfortable, it is also good at getting any aggression out if you feel stressed. The yoga stretch is 10 minutes long and is a lovely way to wind down from a work out or used by itself if you are stressed or if you can't sleep. I also recommend Hanna Waterman's body blitz Hannah Waterman's Body Blitz [DVD] [2009 ] and Rosemary Conley's Real Results Rosemary Conley's Real Results For Real Women Workout [DVD] [2009 ]

Macht Spaß und bringt was.
