Please explain this game. Does the child just draw a popcorn from the box and read it? There must be a little more to it.

Yes, There’s a spinner that they spin it goes up to 3 which ever it lands on they have to draw that amount if they can’t say the sight word they don’t get to keep it, and if they draw a popcorn that says POP they have to put all their site words back. Whom ever has the most popcorn at the end wins. It’s a simple game but effective I use it for my reading groups and the kids love it! The consonant blend game is good for older elementary they have to say the blended consonants and then they have to come up with the word that goes with the blend . The rules are the same with that game too.

Is there a list of all words included? How do the words compare to the Dolch and Fry lists?

My games are at school right now. A list is not included but I did highlight the words in the games on a list of Dolch words downloaded from the internet. The words are all from Dolch and from the pre primer to first grade lists. I use them with kindergarten students and they love the games. I made one change in the directions. When a child pulls a "pop" card instead of losing all their cards they get an extra turn. They really enjoy that change. HTH

Are the words aligned with the Dolch Sight Words or Fry Sight Words? I’m a Spec Educ teacher and trying to see if this would be a good game to use! :)
