MKK Ventilation Hose, Diameter 125 mm, 0.5 m Long, Made of ABS Plastic

This is good quality 125mm internal round PVC ducting intended for ventilation. The manufacturer Awenta in Poland is certified to ISO9001:2008 which is a worthwhile guarantee of quality. The wall thickness is quite thin at 1.5mm, but it is sufficiently strong and stable for just moving domestic air. The inside diameter of 125mm is correct for the normal ABS moulded connectors with a good snug fit. I bought two pieces; one was round, the other not, but the more-rigid ABS couplers etc put it back into the correct shape. My fine-tooth saw cuts this pipe without splintering the plastic, but it being so thin if one is hasty and not careful when dressing the edges smooth, one can run the risk of the scraper tool making an accidental deep cut. The usual ABS solvent cement is effective in bonding the duct to the angled ABS joints, The usual foam sealer also bonds to it well enough to seal ducts passing through brickwork, as does my usual acrylic sealant for making sure condensate does not run back into the wall behind the metal terminals. My samples took a few days to travel from Europe, but I was not in a hurry.
