I bought this to help teach a topic in English with my year 2 class. The book has a great story line and the characters are very relatable! It is also perfect for linking in with our habitats topic in science this half term. The illustrations are beautifully detailed and the fold out postcards are a great touch. Would definitely recommend this book!

This is a great story, about a meerkat who goes to find a better home and realises he was living there all the time. The layout is great and brilliant for teaching about letter writing. I was a little disappointed with the finish of the book because I had to glue several of the flaps back down before I'd even read it.

I enjoy reading this with my daughter. This book takes you on a journey with a meerkat who is looking for a home that suits him better than his current family home. As he travels around for the week, he gets more homesick and realises that he was in the perfect place for him all along and returns to his family. The pages feel quite interactive as there are postcards to lift up so it's engaging for younger readers. The illustrations are beautifully done and it's both cute and funny. An enjoyable read to go through with a toddler / small child.

Our 6yo daughter is reading this at school so we also bought for home. She absolutely loves it. Nice to read as a family

Great book, good quality looks more expensive that it was. Loved the postcards atticched to the different places that are visited. Arrived well packaged, and delivery as expected. This is a gift for a 5year old autistic boy, who has sensory problems, so the colours and feel of this book will be great for him and the story is fun too. Thank you

Lovely book ....nice way to teach kids to write letters... A must have book for children at 6 plus years...

This is a wonderful "there's no place like home" story, as the adorable meerkat travels the world, then realizes how much he needs family to remain the center of his life. This is my favorite illustrator and author-- her books are always imaginative and original. BUT--- A CAUTION The only reservation I have about the book is it's actual construction. Be cautious, as the glue on the interactive parts of the book (flaps to lift, etc.) oozed out a bit and sealed the pages together. I bought this as a gift book but when I looked through it I ended up damaging it just by turning pages, due to this glue issue. Hopefully the publisher will fix this problem for the next edition.
