I am 6'5" and weigh 275 lbs., and this is the first camping chair I have owned where I really felt secure while sitting in it and could get up and down with confidence, which involves applying considerable downward force against the arm rests. With the ubiquitous camping chairs that everyone uses, if you apply too much force against the arm rests, they break, and then the whole chair collapses and is ruined. That can't happen with this chair because there is a support member beneath the arm rests that extends straight down to the ground. However, there is one significant design problem that I was able to fix. The first time I set up the chair, raised the upper portion/headrest, and sat down, I leaned my head back and found myself looking straight up at the sky. My head and neck were leaning back uncomfortably far, and I thought, "This isn't going to work at all." I thought I was going to send the chair back, but instead solved the problem with a simple modification. I cut four shims from 1/8" leather belting and duct-taping them, 1/4" on each side, to the underside of the headrest supports, as indicated in the image. With this modification, the head rest part of the chair points straight up and might look wrong, but when I sit in it, my head is leaning back in a very comfortably position. On my summer trip out west, I will bring extra shims, and I always have duct tape with me, so I can replace the shims if necessary. But the design really should be modified so that the head rest does not lean back so far. I can't imagine that it would be comfortable for anyone. Other than that, I think that this is the finest camp chair available.

Over the years, I've gone through a lot of camping chairs. Beach chairs, folding chairs, padded chairs..., but none of them come close to the comfort and build quality of these chairs. The frame is very sturdy, with no wobble or side-to-side movement. The fabric is quite thick, and I think I'll wear out before it will. The comfort is great. I'm 6'2" and my wife is 5'2" and we both love these chairs. We bought the flannel cushions for the chairs, but they are very comfy with or without them. You might think the folding back is a gimmick (I did), but it works. When folded up it's the perfect angle and height for sitting back, and when it's folded down it has you sitting in a more upright position for like eating at a table. Comfortable in either position. Leaving the cushion on when it's folded down up or down also works.

The chair is fine. The cushion purchased separately has the iceco logo sewn on upside down on the seat area, not on the upper right of the back. You just can't get good help these days.

I recently had posterior neck fusion surgery and I needed a chair that would support my head and neck. This chair is tall enough even for my 6'5" body. As others mention, I use the small pillow behind my head to keep from looking at the ceiling in my neck brace. The chair is very comfortable. I sat in it for 2 hours continuously and it was still comfortable. It is much sturdier than other cheap aluminum chairs I have owned in the past. The chair looks great in my living room, but it finally allows me to go outside and still have my head and neck supported. I would highly recommend.

I bought two of these chairs for camping and overlanding. The fabric of the chair feels very sturdy and high quality, and when sitting in the chair, I have all the confidence in the world having my two toddlers and wife sit with me and not worry about this thing breaking. At first, I thought the chair would be uncomfortable with the back folded down, but I was wrong. The chair is very comfortable with the back folded down and up in the high position. My kids spilled juice on the chair one night we went camping, and it wiped right off. These aren't the smallest chairs folded up and in the carrying case, but if you have the room, then I'd suggest you buy one for all the adults in your family. 10/10 would recommend. Also, ICECO customer service is amazing.

I am 6'3", 305lbs. The chair is very sturdy and comfortable, handles weight well above mine . And, what's important when carrying it around, it is very compact when folded. After buying ~5 different chairs I finally found what I was looking for. Then I bought one more :). Love it.

Chairs comfortable to sit in and reasonable quality but for the price, the bag zipper ripped the first day and all the cosmetic plugs on the end of the tubing have fallen out like I said, not a bad chair, but for the money could’ve been a nicer

Very nice chair, robust frame, heavy weight fabric, I like it doesn’t have a lot of plastic that always breaks on other chairs.
