MAY CAUSE NIACIN FLUSH, But it’s ok!!!
I, like others, began to experience a full-body flush when I took this. It’s actually good for you, look up “Niacin flush.” If you aren’t into that, don’t take this, but this supplement has done as it’s supposed to. My cholesterol is decreasing!

Slight flushing of skin
No taste to this supplement but I did experience a bit of Niacin skin flushing at first which can vary from immediately (within minutes) or up to 30 months later, depending on absorption rate. Best taken with food as instructed. It still occurs from time to time but not as intense and doesn’t last as long. My next cholesterol test will be interesting to see if this supplement (along with more exercise and healthier eating habits) helped.

Should come with warnings & side effects
I took this product to try and lower my bad cholesterol. I took it for 2 months, two tablets a day in the morning with my breakfast, as stated on bottle. Right away, I started having tendinitis in my elbow. I play pickleball several times a week & wasn’t sure how much was the tablets & how much was being caused by a new, heavier paddle. I had looked up side effects of these tablets and muscle & joint pain/weakness was listed as a side effect just like statins. The plus side was that these tablets didn’t elevate blood glucose like the synthetic pharmaceutical statins. So I continued to take tablets hoping the elbow pain was a minor side effect. Several weeks later I started having knee pain and elbow was still hurting. I was beginning to have my doubts about the joint & muscle pain being a minor side effect. Several days after knee pain started, my hip & knee on other side started hurting to the point I couldn’t put weight on hip & knee. I started having heart palpitations & severe nausea. I looked Red Yeast Rice up again and this time found a Mount Sinai report stating individuals with thyroid issues should not take Red yeast rice. I have hypothyroidism. Then stated it stated if you started to have heart palpitations, nausea, and darkening of your urine you could be experiencing a rare complication and contact your dr immediately because it could be life threatening and shut down your kidneys & liver. Anyway, after many blood tests to insure my kidneys & liver were okay, I also found out there was no change in my cholesterol levels. My Dr is monitoring my muscle & joint aches & believes they will go away after a month of being off the tablets. The heart palpitations have stopped as soon as I stopped taking the tablets. The nausea, after being off tablets for several days is less but not completely gone. These tablets should come with warnings & side effects just like the pharmaceutical statins have.

Does it’s job
This didn’t provide any pain relief for me. I’m taking it because my doctor recommended to help with high cholesterol and it is doing its job per blood work.

Some of the nutrients cancel out each other
I've taken for 1.5 years, but recently I learned that Mg shouldn't be taken with zinc because they compete for absorption, thus ineffective! It may be packed with nutrients, but some cancel out. I gave it 3 stars in case the other nutrients are absorbed.
