Survived 2 washer/dryer cycles
The title says it all: this thing is built to last! My partner has mistaken these for dirty laundry at least 2 times now, but despite the abuse they seem to work just as well as the day I got them. I use these to listen to podcasts in bed to relax, and listen to noise to help fall asleep. They are comfortable and unintrusive, and the sound quality is more than good enough for my use cases. Flaws (but not deal-brealers): they do tend to slide around as you toss and turn, requiring re-adjustment which can be annoying. Also charging the battery requires taking the thing apart, which is a bit cumbersome. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who likes to listen to music/podcasts/videos to fall asleep.

Purchased 4 times over 6 years--Quality not there
I am a side sleeper with sensitive small ears. Earbuds never fit properly, fall out, or ache. The $20 inexpensive sleep headphones have thicker, smaller, and harder speakers and are painful after hours of laying on them. The Acoustic Sheep speakers are amazingly comfortable in comparison, but the rest of the system is just not nearly good enough, or has longevity enough, to be worth the price. I've purchased these in May 2019, April 2021, April 2023, and July 2024. Why? Because after trying over a half-dozen of the less expensive brands these are the only ones that did not hurt my poor ears. I'm finally throwing in the towel, it's just not worth it and by other reviews it looks like the build quality has continued to go downhill even more in the last year or two. The most recent two pairs of Acoustic Sheep have both failed as pictured. This is a design flaw because to get to the the other side of the head, one of the speaker wires will always be pulling opposite the other and this puts tension at this point. Other pairs just stopped connecting, had battery life issues or both. If these were $20 I wouldn't mind replacing them every other year as I do wear them every night, all night, but for $100 I do expect both superior quality and 5x the longevity of the cheap pairs and these deliver neither. It is such a disappointment because the speaker design is truly innovative, fantastic and comfortable, but the rest of the supporting hardware is complicated, designed poorly, and prone to failure.

Inconveniences outweigh comfort and sound pluses at 5 times the cost.
Bottom line- skip these and buy the $20 ones. Connectivity - sporadically works. Can Disconnect without warning and then can require you to select “forget this device” and reconnect. this can happen more than once. Charging- to recharge, you have to unplug the battery from the speakers and remove the battery from the headband. They come with a charging cord but it is a USB mini which isn’t used much anymore so if you want a spare plug for travel, etc., you may need to buy another. Also, there is no indication of when it is finished recharging. $20 MusiCozy has the battery on the outside and uses a very common USB C plug on top. It has a red LED to indicate it is charging that changes to blue when done. In addition, there is a charge level indicator on the phone/pad screen to indicate how much power is remaining. The AcousticSheep has no indicator of any sort. What this means is when the battery runs out while using the AS headset, it switches to your phone speaker with no notice and everyone can hear what you’re listening to. Sound quality- better than MC but doesn’t blow me away. Comfort - the AS headband is more comfortable due to the speakers being made of a softer material. However, it is thinner so it doesn’t block out the light as well. Care - this is the only significant plus for AS. Because all the electrical components can be removed, the band can go in the washing machine. No way to easily remove the MC electronics. This means they get dirty over time. For me it’s not a problem because my head is reasonably clean at bedtime. But since you can buy 5 MCs for the price of one AS, just get a new MC whenever you want a fresh headset. AS, if you’re listening - replace the usb connector, make the battery rechargeable without having to take the headset apart, and widen the band. Then lower the price by half. You will get great reviews and sell many times more the units than you are currently and make a lot more money. Then when you start to dominate the space, you can raise your price again…a little.

Acceptable for Side Sleepers
I tried multiple other sleep headbands before I decided to spend more money and give this one a try. I needed something that I could play movies or music at a decent volume without disturbing my husband’s sleep. This works great for my adhd to get me back to sleep. The band is comfortable and not too hot (and I’m a hot sleeper). The speakers are super thin, but still a little hard. It bothers my ears slightly, but I’m still able to sleep with it. Sound quality is good. For the price, it’s a little awkward. You have to take the device out of the band to charge it, there is a lot of wiggle room so it moves quite a bit. I wear the remote on my forehead rather than the back of my head so that it doesn’t put pressure on the base of my skull when I sleep. It works well, but I wish it were more user friendly and cheaper. It would also be nice if there was more cushion on the speakers.

Love them!
I have been using SleepPhones for years and I really think they are unmatched in terms of sound quality and comfort. I have tried a couple other brands and these ones are the clear winners for me. There are lots of negative reviews about the quality, but in my experience they last really well. My last pair is still holding up after 5 years, I only got another one because I left my original pair at home during a long vacation. Some things worth noting - it is definitely a little fiddly getting the headphones out of the band to wash it and then stuffing them back in after, but you get the hang of it. Also, they are not noise canceling by any means. I don’t need them to be so I won’t take any stars off, but if that’s really important to you then these won’t cut it.

Excellent hardware in a shody headband
I bought this because the Musicozy sleeping headphones I purchased were impossible to sleep in, the speakers were too large and uncomfortable for sleeping. The SleepPhones are fantastic for sleeping, they're slim and barely noticeable with great sound quality. But the headband they come with is cheap, poorly fitting, and doesn't keep the speakers in place. The Musicozy headband is much better made, has pockets sewn into it to hold hardware, and is more comfortable, so I tried squeezing the hardware from the SleepPhones into it and it works reasonably well. For the price of the SleepPhones I expected a headband at least as good as the Musicozy that are about 10% the cost, but was disappointed. The hardware inside the headband is worth the price, but you'll probably need to find some other headband to put them in.

Great for shared rooms. Works with cpap full face mask.
I need to listen to music or audiobooks or podcasts to fall asleep. This allows me to do so without disturbing my roommate. An added benefit - though not anywhere near noise-canceling ability - is that it also reduced (but didn't eliminate) the amount of snoring or external sounds I could hear. Generally comfortable for side-sleeping and also possible to sleep on back; however, the battery pack can get in the way and be uncomfortable for back-sleeping. For future models I'd recommend putting the battery in the front as virtually no one sleeps facedown. Battery lasts multiple nights between charges. Generally easy to remove battery to recharge. I wear a full-face cpap mask and it fit fine underneath.

Design quality isn’t at all functional
The entire design of this headband is quite frankly, stupid and I don’t understand all the positive reviews. First really stupid design, you have tom COMPLETELY REMOVE the battery pack from the headband to charge it and the only way to do that is by using the Velcro which is loud as hell at night when you’re trying to not wake your partner up. So I guess that’s two stupid design choices in one. Stupid design number two(three?), it’s literally designed so the controls are AT THE BACK OF YOUR HEAD. What????? Who does that? Who sat at a table and went “ yeah controls at the back of your head, what a smart innovation!”??? Not only is it cumbersome to have to touch the back of your head when wearing it during the day, this product is marketed for sleeping, it’s utterly useless for anyone who sleeps on their back or rolls to their back in the night. Even stomach sleepers don’t roll onto their foreheads. Literally every other sleep headband speakers I’ve owned, the controls were designed for the forehead which just makes more practical sense. I tried taking the who electronics out and readjust them so that the controls were at the top, but the flat headphones don’t fit well through the narrow part of the band. I will try tomorrow to squeeze one of the headphones through the thin part of the band but if not, this is absolutely going back. It’s just not at all the design quality and attention to details that you’d expect from a company that advertises that they are the first and the best in the business or what you’d expect from a pair of headphones that cost almost $100. Just wild.

Best sleeping headphones I've had.
Still using them today. Mother put them through the wash by mistake after a week of owning them and they've still survived half a year later so cant honestly complain. Great purchase, sound quality and comfort are great. Stretchy to fit even a larger head. Simple to use, just hold the middle button for power, click the top for volume up or double click to skip ahead one track/video, same story on the bottom button but you skip back 1 track/video. Battery life is great, even after going through the washer and dryer, though I think I did lose some battery life after that incident. Lasts about 2 nights on light use. Be sure to set a sleep timer if you want them to last longer.

Nice fabric and comfortable
Very comfortable. The speakers move about a little too much than previous brands Ive tried. But I like them.

Genial!

Awkward to wear & it fell apart!
I was excited to buy this device for my partner because he is fussy about sound quality, and this FAR MORE EXPENSIVE SleepPhones promised great sound. Ok. It has good sound, but everything else was not worth the extra $100 over the cheaper MusicCozy. 1. To charge this device, you have to unplug the speaker wires from the battery in order to plug in the charge cord, meaning every time to charge this thing, you need to take it apart! after just 10 charges, the plug broke right off rendering it useless. see photo. 2. The fabric is thicker at the place in the band where the controller goes, so it's a challenge to locate the correct buttons. 3. The headband is super comfortable but the little speakers and the control slide around at will. Very awkward. I kept finding myself listening with just one ear as the other speaker had slipped around the band, or with the control sliding completely out of place and down the side. 4. Not noise cancelling at all. Would not recommend. Would not buy again. Just wish I had returned it instead of throwing it in a drawer when it broke. I just bought another MusicCosy.
