Is this bed compatible with Adjustable king bed?

This is a platform bed. Once you install the wood slats, the bed cannot be adjusted nor can it hold an adjustable frame for any size bed.

It says no box spring required, but CAN you use a box spring with the mattress? I already have one.

Yes, I believe you could. My old box spring was pretty thick and it made the bed too high so I am using it without a box spring.
