Phenomenal value.
Really love this product! I use this for textbooks for my classes, Manga, and a few E-books here and there so my review will be centered on these points of interest aswell as the overall usage and feel of the device. Hardware: The device feels fantastic to hold, it's light weight and doesn't cramp my hands after hours of reading. The battery is also phenomenal, on an average month I charge it once if I happen to notice it's getting a little low, but I've also ridden out an entire day at school with 15% battery life left. The screen is exactly how you would expect an E-ink display to be, with a few caveats I'll touch on further on in the review. Textbooks: My school provides online textbooks by default now when you sign up for a class (you pay for it by default aswell 🤮). The only issues, is that the only way to access the books is by web browser, or via a specific APP. If this were a Kindle, or any other closed ecosystem product I wouldn't be able to utilize my books at all, but having access to the Google play store made it a non-issue. My only compliant for this category is that navigating between chapters and pages can be a little slow, and when a professor randomly jumps around it's hard to keep up. Manga: this works well, but not exactly what I hoped for. The screen does make it look just like paper, but slmething about the aspect ratio makes Manga panels not quite fit width wise, which is a bit infuriating considering the screen isn't very big in the first place. The high speed refresh rate mode is amazing for Manga. The big con in this category is comic books, some work decently, others have to much shading/detail and it kind of overloads the screen. I'd imagine it would be better with a color display. E-books: I actually have an app that allows me to "rent" books from my local library, again this is something that might not work on closed ecosystem devices. As an ebook, it works fantastic. I prefer the standard refresh rate and to swipe to a new page opposed to scrolling, while the scrolling works, I find the choppiness of the display (when not in high speed mode) to actually make me nauseated. Besides that, it works great for E-books, and even PDF's if you aren't lucky enough go have access to your public library's system. Overall, for the price I cannot recommend this E-readee more. Plenty of hours on it, multiple charge cycles and no issues at all, hasn't even slowed down.

Waste of money
This is a little pricey for such a simple e reader. I would give it o stars if possible. Had it for 3 months and had issues with it the whole time. It would get hot when charging and then freeze up. Would not turn off or on. Finally it would jump screen to screen on its own and the on/off button quit working. Total waste of money.

Love the ability to download apps
First off it took me foreveeeeer to find an E-reader that would allow you to download apps from the app store. Meebook E-readers are one of the only ones! I mainly wanted this ability because I use my library card to get books from Libby and Hoopla for free and thus saves me hundreds of dollars. Pros- You can download Google apps - as already stated above Battery life - I've been using this buckaroo for quite some time with little to no drain of the battery. Size - I for one like to be able to hold my books in one hand. (Difficult and usually not doable with a real book) this allows that. Note: The weight is practical but surprisinging for it's size. Cons- Response time - when you click a button or touch the screen it takes a half second to respond. With today's technology and the convenience it brings this can lead to some annoyance. However it does do what you ask. Ghosting - occasionally when scrolling or setting up the 3rd party apps, the screen will have a faint ghosting of the previous pages text and images. This doesn't happen when reading books so I'm assuming it's only when the complexity of the screen/shading is too much for it to handle. All in all good little E-Reader for the price.

Basics Done Right
This little e-reader got me back into reading. Coming with android really makes it an all in one device. The e-ink screen is very easy on the eyes. Setup is pretty easygoing but the u.i. is confusing at points; customization makes this better. Small handheld e-reader that doesn’t take much space and can fit in a pocket.

Super happy with this and I can read HOOPLA books!
I took a risk when I got this because there were no reviews. I bought a Kindle at first and while it shipped I found out I could not download apps from that. I only wanted HOOPLA and I did plan on using it for reading only. I returned the Kindle and did more research and saw a short video on this online and had to trust what I saw. I got this Ereader for 3 reasons: 1) My library deals with Hoopla, it has a bigger selection than Libby, so I wanted Play Store so I could get it and read my books offline and not through a web browser. Most Ereaders do not allow downloading of other apps, and the ones with apps have Libby, which I don't want. 2) I wanted something smaller than a tablet. I was afraid this would be too small, but this is about small paperback size. If you don't mind holding a book with one hand when you are reading, you won't have a problem with this. This is lighter than my Samsung S9, almost the same length, but wider. You can change the fonts as well for your eyes. 3) I wanted to control the lighting in more than a couple settings, this has 24 settings. Only thing I do not like is the small selection of cases promoted for it, but I'm gonna get a fabric case that fits a 6 inch Ereader, after looking over the size specifications. This was already charged when I opened the box and it is pretty simple to start. If you are the type that needs detailed instructions for everything, it will not give you that. You get simple quick instructions for some icons. If you know how to work a phone and tablet, you should be able to figure it out. I am very happy with my purchase!

Great ereader
This is a fantastic e-reader! Since it is an Android tablet you can read books through the library on Libby and Hoopla with no problem. I have an older Kindle Paperwhite that I do really love but was unable to read books through Hoopla (which always seems to have the books I want) so I read and watched as many reviews as I could find before picking between this and the Boox Poke. I ended up picking this as it was a little cheaper and I could get it on here easier. I am very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone who is trying to find an e-ink Android e-reader. It is very simple with minimal bells and whistles but it works well for reading. And the color is fun! If you have never had a Kindle, it may seem very slow but it is much faster than my Paperwhite. The only thing I wish was better is the battery, it does have settings to shut it down and turn off the wifi when not in use and that does help, but scrolling through the Kindle store or Libby does drain the battery faster. Not super dramatic but something to note. Would highly recommend to an avid reader trying to save money on books!

Broke after less than eight months
I've had this for less than eight months. The power button no longer works. The unit routinely refuses to connect to my computer. Someone *completely unrelated to Meebook* told me to try quitting Preview and Dropbox. It had to be someone completely unrelated to Meebook, you see, because Meebook has *absolutely no customer support whatsoever*—I have *never* been able to contact them. The battery life on this was bad, even before I was unable to turn it off and on. I strongly recommend NOT buying this.

Great reader. With a few issues.
I'm going to start by saying I love the M6 and I have zero regrets. It works great for what I bought it for. That said, there are some things that do not work well on this device. 1) Wi-Fi will drain the battery at a rate of as much as 1% per minute and the device gets quite hot using Wi-Fi while charging. If you want to browse the web or social media this isn't the device for you. 2) There is no internal speaker or headphone jack and Bluetooth cuts in and out unless Wi-Fi is turned off. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi don't simultaneously. Trying to stream audio is impossible, but playing downloaded audiobooks or music works great. Maybe this will be fixed with a software update, but as of Jan 2024 streaming audio is a no go. 3) Except for the Kindle app and Libby, my favorite reading apps don't run well on the M6. But that is okay, because the built in reader is actually excellent. It even works for comics and gigantic scanned PDF files. Now the good stuff. 1) Battery life with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Location turned off is excellent. 3 to 4 hours of reading per day will use about 5% of the battery. My BOOX Nova 2 goes through 5% battery in a day just sitting on standby. 2) The SD card slot supports cards up to 1TB in EXFAT. I've got over 400gb of reference books and texts installed. Even Kiwix with complete offline copies of Wikipedia and Guttenberg works perfectly. If you're going to do this, don't go cheap on the SD card, it needs to be a fast card for Kiwix or searches take forever. 3) I really can't praise the built in reading app enough. It handles nearly every format I throw it easily. 4) The M6 is very comfortable to hold. The bezel width is perfect and comfortable in many different reading positions. It's much heavier than my Kindle Voyage, but it doesn't feel like it. I've been using e-readers since the Sony Reader came out in 2006, and I currently have a BOOX tablet and a couple of Kindles, but the M6 is my "daily driver" that I carry everywhere.
