Very good protein powder
Great flavor and taste, especially compared to a lot of other protein powders. The ingredients are clean, it blends really well, and the texture is smooth without being chalky. Overall, one of my favorite protein powders Iโve tried so far.

From a skeptic - this is delicious with no stomach ache!
Wowza, this stuff is really delicious! Chocolate Mocha flavor. I just mixed a double serving with 2 cups of water and a few ice cubes in a mason jar. No blender bottle required. A few things that I love - 1) No tummy ache. So many of these protein powders are chalk full of questionable ingredients for flavor/texture/etc. but then leave me feeling sick or bloated. Not this one! 2) My 8 and 10 year old kids love this flavor. I blend it with milk and a 1/2 banana for them and they go gaga for it. 3) Decaf coffee. This is made with decaffeinated coffee so I get my coffee flavor fix without getting jacked up or disrupting my sleep. 4) Overall, just a really good protein powder. I'm glad I took the plunge to try it. It's not cheap. But I'll buy it again! BTW I will only mix it with water. I tried last night to blend it with almond milk and ice to make a shake but it was more like a slushie. Then milk makes it way too sweet for me. Mixing with water is perfect for me.

Perfectly Balanced & Not Overly Sweet โ My New Favorite Protein!
This is honestly the best protein powder I have ever had. The biggest plus for me is that itโs not overly sweet. I usually struggle with protein powders because even when they donโt contain sugar, the monk fruit or stevia extract makes them taste extremely sweet โ and I just canโt handle that artificial sweetness. But this one is completely different. The chocolate mocha flavor tastes amazing! It has a rich, smooth flavor that actually feels like Iโm drinking a nice mocha instead of a protein shake. As someone who loves coffee, this flavor is absolutely perfect for me. It blends well, has a great texture, and doesnโt leave any weird aftertaste. I also appreciate that it doesnโt cause any bloating or discomfort like some other protein powders Iโve tried. It keeps me full for longer and helps me easily reach my daily protein goals. I truly couldnโt be happier with this product. It has become my go-to protein powder, and I will definitely continue buying it. Highly recommend to anyone who prefers a balanced taste without overpowering sweetness!

Nicely flavored protein supplement with an emphasis on being 'natural'
This is a review for the 'Chocolate Mocha' flavor of Levels 100% Grass Fed Whey. So, I started working out regularly again, and looked into the wild, vast field of protein supplements. Before taking Levels' product, I was using MyProtein's Whey Isolate Chocolate Smooth. I was primarily looking for an alternative sourced from ethically minded dairy farms, and decided to give Levels a try. Looking at the ingredients list, there seems to be a focus on keeping things 'natural'. There are no added sugars, and they use two sweeteners to enhance the flavor. One is stevia leaf extract, and the other is monk fruit extract. In other whey protein powders, I sometimes see artificial sweeteners like sucralose. One point there, if you're concerned about that. Non-GMO sunflower lecithin is another notable ingredient. Lecithin is used to improve the texture of whey protein powders when mixed (gives that smooth/silky feel). Soy lecithin is the cheapest and most commonly used form, so you'll find it often in other whey protein powders. Now, you can read up all sorts of stuff about the dangers of soy, soy lecithin, extraction methods of soy lecithin, and soy allergies. Some of it may be overblown, some of it may be valid. If soy is a concern to you, though, the usage of sunflower lecithin in Levels offers an alternative. Finally, we round things out with decaffeinated coffee and cacao powder, which presumably provide the lion's share of the chocolate mocha flavor. As for the flavor itself, I would say it is neither weak nor strong, but it does get quite muddled, the more stuff you add to your shake. For me, the flavor really comes out in a minimal mix - a banana, cashew milk, and a scoop of the powder. There's definitely some sweetness there, but not overwhelming, even with the addition of a banana. Instead, it's got this pleasant earthiness blended in, which I presume comes from the coffee. It's not going to blow you away with intensity, I think, but it's still nice enough that I look forward to one after a workout. Again, the only thing is that if you like adding stuff, it doesn't take a whole lot for the flavor to get lost in the mix. Minor quibbles - 1.After the efficient, resealable bags offered by MyProtein, I find the big jar Levels' whey protein comes in to be rather bulky. Then again, maybe the container is more recyclable than a bag. 2. I mentioned MyProtein earlier. One of the reasons they are the current go to brand is because of third party lab testing confirming protein content. labdoor.com published results for MyProtein brands, which show them consistently ranking quite high. If Levels could do something similar with an independent testing company, it might be useful to folks who are thinking of trying out a new product. All that aside, my one major issue is the lack of readily available information on a few things. From their website: "Levels Grass-Fed Whey comes from certified humane suppliers across the country and we guarantee our whey is from 100% grass-fed pasture raised dairy cows." Awesome. However, I could not locate any information on who these suppliers are, in order to independently verify if they are actually certified humane and their livestock primarily subsist on grass. If it's on the website and I somehow missed it, I'll edit the review as necessary. Otherwise, this is a perfectly fine whey protein powder, with selective use of ingredients and a stated commitment to using 100% grass fed and humanely treated cows.

I like it
Tastes great and not too sweet. Just right. Mixes well with a blender or mixer. And Just as well as any other protein powder with a spoon which is not great but doable.

Taste is Second to None
I have the vanilla cinnamon and the chocolate mocha. If you mix the vanilla cinnamon with coconut water, it tastes so much like horchata. It's delicious. The chocolate mocha is such a genuine chocolate and coffee flavor that doesn't taste too sweet, artificial, or like anything other than chocolate and coffee. I don't experience any bloat, discomfort, or aftertaste. It mixes well in just a shaker bottle, with no weird texture or grittiness. I work out but I also take medication that absolutely obliterates my appetite, so mixing this with coconut water makes a perfect snack/drink when I need to get some calories and protein in, or when my appetite surges again at night. Will absolutely continue to purchase.

This company does not care about it's customers
I had to click one star so I could post this review but I rate the company ZERO STARS. I've never been treated so callously by a company. On July 22 I ordered the Levels Grass Fed Whey Protein on the recommendation of a friend. After receiving it on July 24, I made a shake with it. After 15 minutes, I experienced extremely severe stomach pains, similar to those I had in child labor! My stomach continued to be upset for the next 4 days. Apparently other customers have had stomach issues as well. They likely ignored them as well. I reached out to the company and told them about my experience and requested a refund. The customer service rep asked for the lot number of the batch, which I sent. I also told her I sometimes have some small issues with lactose but I have used other Whey protein powders before and not had the issues I had with this company's product. They said there was nothing wrong with the batch and sent me a list of ingredients to share with my doctor. My doctor has told me there is no black and white list of products to avoid. It varies for each person. So he suggests I try products to determine whether I can tolerate them. I have been able to enjoy many products made with dairy and have had no problems. And once again...I have even enjoyed other whey protein powders with no issues, so there was no reason for me to be concerned when ordering it. After several back and forth emails, the most they would do was issue a gift certificate. Since I had such extreme pain with one of their products, there would be no reason to try another. I asked for a refund. They didn't respond. So on August 10 I emailed the same customer service rep asking her to escalate the issue to someone who has the authority to issue a refund, but have heard nothing back from her. I simply received an automated email response. On September 2 I sent a new email to customer service, hoping to get a different person and didn't even receive an automated response. So apparently it's more important for them to keep my 40. for a product that made me ill rather than resolving the issue. Very untrustworthy. Very callous. Total lack of respect or concern for the customer.
