Great accessory for your BGE or other live-fire grill or smoker. Allows the fire starter you're using to breath a little as it's burning by providing a little space around it so it isn't smothered by your charcoal piling on too tight. Don't know how long it will last, but I've already used it ten or more times. It stays buried in your coals as you're cooking, so I'm sure the heat will eventually get it. I'll be buying another then because I think it's great!

The internal volume is barely large enough for two ‘tumbleweed-style’ starters, but perhaps the starters are different sizes between manufacturers. Slightly squishing the starters allows mine to fit nicely and still lock the cups together. Fire starter keeps burning even while covered with coals. Recommended!
