Note well, this is for SALTWATER aquariums.
I bought this by mistake, and didn't realise that it was for saltwater aquariums (aquaria?) until I kept getting high ammonium readings, despite numerous water changes. There, tucked away in the small print of the instructions, is reference to saltwater—doh! My aquarium is freshwater. A trip to the aquarium shop, the appropriate test kit, and 0 ammonium in my water. I guess the 'Salifert' name was a clue...'sali' as in 'saline'. The packaging could do with being a lot clearer.
