Great light. Fits close to ceiling. Easy mounting, remote and you can change light color and brightness .

This is a really plain light with no frills in appearance, but makes for one great light. I installed one in my kitchen since my kitchen is pretty compact, and it works for the most part. Since the light is close to the ceiling, it's probably best suited for hallways since a lot of the light shoots straight down. It would illuminate rooms better if it could bounce off walls, since the range of angle isn't all that great. Remote works well. The best part is the ease of changing the light setting. Sometimes I like the bright white, sometimes I like the daytime, and it's a simple click of a button. I love the night setting as it provides just enough light without making my eyes hurt. Also great to use in the morning after waking up while my eyes are still getting adjusted to the light. Installation was pretty simple if you have an idea of what you're doing. I'm a business analyst, but i was still able to shut off the breaker and pretty much connect 3 wires and hook it up. Very happy with purchase overall and would buy any of my other lights burn out.

This was super easy to install. The colors dim or go brighter and it’s very bright and it looks so nice flushed against the ceiling.

Easy to install. We live in an old house and wires in the ceiling are not switched. It had pull chain switch. So this light is perfect and looks great. I hope it’s durable.

I really didn't have super high hopes for such a cheap chicom light but the thing does the job. First, don't expect some high quality construction and style, this this screams cheap rental property. I installed this thing about a desk under a shelf in an alcove for lighting. I bought this for: 1) Stepless dimming 2) Stepless color changing 3) Very low profile From my impressions: 1) This light is fairly directed down, like the recessed lights I have in another room. It does not spread the light around, like a main ceiling light would. Therefore, this light is not well suited to be the main center light in a room. A light for the center of a room will throw light from the sides that will reflect off of the ceiling, thereby illuminating the whole room. 2) Because of the above limitations a single light bulb recessed fixture may be a better choice. 3) The one place this light would be perfect is in a closet. Being able to set the color temp and brightness depending on the layout of the closet would be great. Also, since it is very low profile shelves it would not waste space. This would also work well in bathrooms that have multiple sources of light turned on at the same time. 4) Very light weight and easy to install. Has a wire so you can hang the light while doing the electrical connections. Includes hardware, including screws for a ceiling box and a couple of screws with anchors. Also has wiring caps. Lever type connectors would have been nice but whatever. Also there is enough space between the mounting plate and the light to put the wires (just barely) so you do not have to connect everything behind the mounting plate or try to shove the wires back through the hole into a box which would be hard with solid core wire. 5) Remote is cheap and doesn't come with batteries. However, the buttons have a nice positive click and tactile feel so they are very easy to push without error. There is a red light at the top indicating when the light is pushed. Two annoying things I don't like is that that when changing the color temp the brightness goes to 100%. I would like to change the color temp without affecting the brightness. The other thing is the battery cover does not stay on. I used electrical tape. 6) I'm guessing there is a led strip running around the perimeter of the inside of the shade. This will make the light a little brighter around the edges but it is not really that bad at all. You cannot see any individual led hotspots, which is great. In summary, it's cheap and works just fine. I really wouldn't use it anywhere besides a closet or a pantry. Maybe a place where a little auxiliary light is needed without installing a recessed fixture. Just remember you can't use a dimmer switch with this, you must use the remote.

LET THE *SON* SHINE IN - 15.4" - 5 STARS (but you should know something first) - beautiful and much briter than expected (lights up dim light area over kitchen range) - super affordable and well-written install instructions / comes with wire twists / everything needed to install - the install wire clip while installing the light is a stroke of genius - super versatile with advanced remote with tons of options that actually work (line of sight 20ft) - night light with one button provides CONSTANT affordable light for dim hallways (leave this on in hallways on gold hue) - can reset the daylight hue with gold hue with one click of the light switch - utilitarian handsome lights both on and off / ring illuminates as BLACK ring when lit, attractive for all but the most formal rooms - the ceiling upcast light makes these lights really stand out and give a mild comforting ambience on the ceiling CAVEATS: 1. vendor cheaped out on very thin 16g wire 2. the center hold is barely over 2" round - very hard to get 12g wire back up inside the in-celing wire box. 3. NOT EASY to install because of caveat #2. 4. HIGHLY RECOMMEND stripping off another 3/4" wire from the *very thin* wire connectors to be able to get a good/safe grip onto your house wires (only do this if you know how to use a wire stripper on 16g stripper) 5. as mentioned - vendor cheaped out on the wire and only gave a 1/4" lead to twist onto a much thicker house wire

These lights are an instant upgraded! I replaced outdated cage lights with these sleek LED disks and I couldn't be happier. I was worried that they would be a little boring in my space, but they are the instant upgrade I needed. My living room area has relatively short ceilings (8 feet) so I wanted something that would make my space seem taller and more modern at the same time. These definitely fit the bill and make the whole room feel more open. The install of the lights could not be easier. I am no electrician, but the instructions were clear and easy to understand and I think it took me about 20 minutes total to install both. There is even a clip on the light to hold it up while connecting the wires so you dont need a second person! The lighting is great and I love how customizable it is. I can have warm, cool, or neutral light and can adjust the brightness, put it on night time mode, and set a timer all from the remote. I ordered these in a pack of two and while it came with two remotes (one for each light), one remote will control them both right out of the box. I am also happy I switched to LED because the quality of light is better and I wont have to worry about replacing bulky light bulbs over and over again because these lights will last. All in all, solid purchase for a very good price. Give them a shot.

Our house was built in the late 40's, so with various remodels and such, the overhead light in the kitchen had NO switch to it. For a while we had a basic dome light with a pull-chain. The light was insufficiently bright, did not accommodate shorter people (such as my sister when she stays over), and with everyday use--the chain continuously snapped. This remote-control light solves the no-switch problem. As a bonus, the settings are better than I had hoped for. The light is very bright, but if you are not a morning person, you can also dim it. You can select more of a yellow color or a white light color depending on your preference or mood. It "remembers" the last setting you used so if you don't feel like messing w/ it, that's also an option. Installation was easy, especially because A) this is extremely light-weight and B) the light comes with a little hook and wire. Once you have screwed in the mount to your junction box, you can hang the light from it as you connect the wires. I've installed several light fixtures and that's always the most awkward part----trying to balance/hold onto the light while delicately connecting the wires. My very minor beef with this is that you do in fact need to point the remote at the light in order to turn it on and off. I thought if I just mounted the remote on the wall, I'd be able to press on/off without having to take the remote off of the wall and point. Nope. Oh well, I can definitely live with that. I bought a magnetic mount for the remote. So far-So good.

These lights are fantastic and very well thought out. The two-part installation system is especially clever—you first mount the support base to the ceiling, then use the built-in hanging support to hold the light in place while completing the wiring. Once connected, the fixture simply locks onto the base with a quick twist, making installation smooth and stress-free. The remote control (which requires two AAA batteries, not included) has worked flawlessly. It offers a wide range of settings, including convenient presets like bedtime mode, along with adjustable brightness and color temperature to suit any mood or time of day. Overall, these are excellent lights that combine smart design with great functionality. I would highly recommend them.
