Peak Design Slide Lite Camera Strap

I wish I had bought one of these much sooner! Overall, the Peak Design Sidelite Camera Strap has exceeded my expectations in every way. Its combination of comfort, versatility, security, durability, and style make it a must-have accessory, yes it is a little pricey (for a camera strap) but this is more than just a camera strap, in my opinion it is worth every penny, the ease to remove the strap, and also to use the camera whilst out and attached to the strap is brilliant, I love the cross body method, much more comfortable for me! I watched the video on how to attach and wear etc, once I had practiced a few times attaching and undoing it was so easy! The length is so easy to adjust, I can imagine it will fit both petite and big body sizes easily. It's a game changer, plain and simple!

I recently picked up the Peak Design Slide Lite in Ash (SLL-AS-3) for my mirrorless camera, and I’m beyond impressed. The dual quick-adjusters make it easy to switch on the fly, whether I’m walking through city streets or climbing trails for landscape shots. It’s such a simple design, but it’s executed perfectly. The Anchor Link system is another highlight. It makes attaching and detaching the strap to the camera ridiculously easy, and the anchors are incredibly secure. I’ve never once worried about my camera slipping or falling, even with a heavier setup. Plus, the anchors are low-profile, so they don’t get in the way when I’m not using the strap. Comfort is also top-notch. The Slide Lite is slimmer than the full-size Slide strap, which makes it ideal for mirrorless cameras. This is a great strap, especially because as a landscape photographer, I don't want it attached to my camera all the time - the way this attaches means that I can attach/detach the strap in a matter of seconds. The strap its self is well made of a really strong, woven material - the closest approximation I can think of it's like the material they make seatbelts out of. The hardware on it is made really well and gives some nice accents to the strap. I have used this is a lot and often in some challenging conditions and it has held up well. It's long and comfortable to wear.

Good quality, and I find the connectors easy enough to use. My only criticisms are that the strap is quite bulky, if you use a smaller camera bag. Also it's quite slippy, depending on what you're wearing!

Only had it a week and it’s only been on one outing so far, but I’m loving my Slide Lite. I’ve been carrying my camera on my shoulder but it is always sliding off so I wanted a longer strap that would go across my body and not leave the camera up under my armpit (I’m 6’4”). With the Slide Lite at nearly its full length the camera hangs comfortably just below my hip. I have one anchor on a strap lug and the other on the bottom part of the L-bracket I always have on the camera, and this is perfect because the camera hangs with the lens pointed down instead of sticking out sideways. It is effortless to swing the camera up to take pictures, and I don’t have to worry so much about people knocking into it when it is hanging. I wasn’t sure if I should get the wider Slide rather than the Slide Lite for comfort, but the Lite was fine with my 1.5kg camera. I picked the Sage colour because I wanted something not black but not too bold, and I am really pleased with it.

Hanging thousands of pounds worth of camera equipment on a cheap knockoff strap is false economy. These straps are expensive but are premium quality- easy to attach and swap between cameras. Adjustment when wearing is easy. The fact you can swap the strap easily between cameras makes the investment seem less formidable

I was recommended this strap by two friends. I am very glad that I purchased it, as it does everything it claims to do, as well as out-performing every other strap I have used in the past.

I bought this to use on photography workshops when using my Nikon Z6. Some people think that's a small, light camera. It's not small and light to me and I wanted a strap that would be comfortable to use while walking around London for 6 hours shooting street photography. First things first, it was comfortable for all that time and it held the camera securely. I didn't feel it swaying about as I always have with the included straps (which I hate). For that reason alone I'm now a convert to this Peak Design strap, despite the cost (you might think it's a fair price, I still think it's ridiculous for a strap). Next, it has a variety of carrying styles. I used it round my neck, simply because of how I was going to be shooting. I might try it with the side sling configuration when I’m on a more leisurely shoot, but I saw one guy using the same strap that way on the workshop I attended and he seemed to have no problem with it. I think as a side sling it was marginally slower to raise the camera, but we're talking fractions of a second. I can't talk about long term wear and tear, because I've only just got this. From all I've read they hold up ok. One one side of the strap, around where you'd have it on your neck, there's a rubberised grip (not too pronounced) and that really does stop the camera/strap combo from slipping. That's always been a problem for me with included cameras straps when I've had them over my shoulder, rather than over my neck. The grip on this strap prevents that so that's a big plus in my eyes. The little eyelet type attachments work very well and snap in and out easily. You can buy extras so if you have several cameras you can use a single strap and share it with all of them as you need to (assuming you only take one camera with you when out shooting). I don't think the extra attachments are super, super cheap, but they're cheaper than a whole strap package so overall you could get some economy there. Would I buy this strap again? Yes, I would, despite moaning about the price. I got the black version since I don't want to call attention to myself when on the streets, but they do have some nice looking versions. That's purely a matter of taste, of course. Would I buy a second strap? Probably not, since I rarely take more than one camera with me when I'm out and about so I can just use this strap on any of them. I just need a few spare attachments. Actually, you can remove them from your camera pretty fast anyway, so moving the whole thing from one camera to another would probably take less than a minute. They do have a broader strap for heavier cameras, but this one is rated for heavier than my Z6 so I don't know if I'd need anything bigger than the Slide Lite. If I ever do need a heavier duty strap, the Peak Design would probably be my first choice. It was nice to fit the strap and forget about it. That's not really something I've ever been able to do with an included strap. They always seem to have something not quite right about them and I really don't like how they emblazon the brand all over them. I don't want to advertise the camera I'm carrying from a distance. There are enough pickpockets around without attracting their attention with a bright yellow Nikon logo!

Tras decidirme, he podido comprobar que es la mejor correa que he tenido nunca, tras mucho tiempo de uso continuado puedo decir sin lugar a dudas que esto es un articulo que cualquier fotógrafo o videografo necesita tener en su equipo La facilidad para cambiar si tienes varias cámaras, es asombroso. No tiene ni un roce, ni se le nota el desgaste, es impresionante, si lo llegara a perder, porque estropearse va a ser difícil...seguro volvería a comprar otra correa exactamente igual. La negra también es bonita, pero la gris me resulta muy elegante
