Super cute bear for kids and adult chefs alike
I bought it for My chef son. It might be funny to gift a teddy bear to an adult, but he loved it . Especially when he opened the packaging and the bear inflated. Super cute !

Karate Bear is cute, extra "belts" are not useful.
The bear itself is super cute. Martial Arts Uniform and black belt on the bear are fine, but the extra "belts" that come with it are not made like the black belt, they are just pieces of ribbon and short ones at that. That aren't big enough to put on the bear and come sewn to the bear's hand for some reason. If your child is going to have the bear teach a class of Barbies, the extra belts might work for that, but are no where near as nice or long as the belt it comes with and definitely won't fit the bear. That being said, the children I bought them for absolutely loved them and those details didn't seem to matter to them.

Who was the doll for?
I ordered this doll for one of the gals at our clinic who is receiving her MD this year. She was so thrilled to get it. We all loved the doll.

Caution, belts are not interchangeable.
I bought this bear because I thought it had interchangeable belts, and our child could change them as she progressed in karate. However, none of the belts are long enough to tie around the bear. We are purchasing ribbon separately to make our own.

Suitable for an elderly nurse in hospital
My elderly mother is a retired nurse and a former dollmaker whose specialty was teddy bears, and she is now in the hospital after a bad fall. This seemed appropriate for her, and she LOVES it. One of her nurses even asked me where I bought it. By the way, I think it looks better without the surgical mask, but you can feel free to use it for a more authentic look.
