Marshall Mathers LP [VINYL]

An amazing artist from the beginning . This is one of his greatest albums

I mean, it's the Marshall Mathers LP. I don't think I need to leave an actual 'product review' per se, but I should point out a couple of things about the copy that arrived at my door. Firstly, it didn't have the pictured cover, it had the other one with Em huddled under a doorway. I personally wasn't bothered but someone might be. Secondly, it was very evidently resealed. There were scuffs on the CD case in places where the shrinkwrap was completely unharmed, and there was a fingerprint on the top of the disc and some dirt on the bottom. I'm not sure if the album is currently in print (this catalog number and disc details date back to 2000, but then so do all the others), but if there are new/new-old-stock copies floating around, they're not here. I should stress these are not complaints and I would classify the condition itself as mint (but then, it's hardly a collector's item in the first place). This whole thing is an FYI.

Good quality records shame both records go in the same sleave

Everyone has their favourite Eminem album. For some it was the startling debut of the Slim Shady Album, for younger fans his more recent work. Now that he seems to have retired from performing and is sticking to producing (the odd slip aside - even Eric Clapton will never REALLY retire), it's interesting to look back on his output and, for me, this is the clear winner. There is, of course Stan and The Real Slim Shady and The Way I Am, all copper-bottomed hits. Kim is as painful to listen to now as it was when he recorded it. Since then he married her again...and divorced her again. Not since Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton was there so much pain in a celebrity pairing. The best one for me, though, doesn't appear on all versions of this album - but seek out the Special Edition with its bonus track The Kids, Marshall's tribute to his love of South Park. It is the funniest thing he has ever done, and dare I say the best? I saw the man himself when he played Milton Keynes - his last perfomances in Britain, as it turns out - and the songs from this album excited the fans most. It's easy to see why.

I wasn't planning on actually using the cd much. I mainly got it for collectors purposes. For whatever reason, my PC doesn't read the disc properly and my disc drive starts choking. It still works on standard cd players though. I think the reason for this is because the song 'Remember Me?' has a question mark in it's file name which computers don't like.

Amazing album

The vinyl came in sturdy packaging and I was pleased to see the condition it arrived in was excellent. Price is really competitive as well compared to the exact same product being available in record shops for £20 more. Super happy to have not had an issue with this purchase given the MMLP is my favourite album by Shady!

Ik kreeg de plaat met 2 keer de zelfde plaat binnen. Dus 2x side A en B. Waardoor de album in kompleet was. Helaas terug gestuurd.

Super Schallplatte, gut verpackt und super Zustand

Entrega bem feito, disco bem embalado. Disco sensacional.

On the album cover and on the vinyl itself (Side B of the second vinyl) it lists the track "Kim" which is the album I grew up loving and the one I wanted. When I actually played it, it's a song called "The Kids", as Kim has been completely removed from the album. It doesn't state anywhere in the ad that it's the clean version, even has "explicit_lyrics" posted on the listing. So, extremely disappointed and feel deceived.
