for the cost one would expect it will prevent spills, it doesNot.it will protect for getting dust in.it will help to stay hotter for longer.the slots for the Slide piece will leak it the cup falls on its side.

Ember Sliding Lid - fits nicely on my ember mug and helps to keep my drink warm. It also prevents a skin from forming on my drink. It does add height to the rim of the mug so takes a bit of getting used too but I now use it all the time.

This lid doesn’t fit the Ember Mug, and just try returning it 😳🙄 Amazon famously difficult for item returns 🙄VERY FRUSTRATING AND DISSATISFIED
