Just bought from manufacturer. Where is the power button?

The power button should be on the top surface of the unit near one of the corners. The button has the standard "power" symbol on it.

Can it be used with a desktop computer? I want to be able to use my desktop and laptop interchangeably

that's not the intent of the product, the USB-C delivers at minimum 90Volts so I would NOT use this with a desktop.
