L'Oreal Paris Hair Color Feria Pastels Dye, Smokey Blue P1 by L'Oreal Paris

This is the best hair color ever. It provides excellent coverage plus it gives you highlights and lowlights in one bottle. It's a silver with light blue and dark blue tints. It washes out fairly easy which means I have to color more often but the color is worth it.

This is my all time favorite box of hair color. I was blond forever, tried pink and liked it, but then when I did this particular blue... LOVE. it really brings out my eyes and the color is true to the box. It fades slowly so lasts a long time. Even when it's faded, it's then a pale blue GRAY which also looks good. My bf loves my hair this color the most (but that's not why I do it, it's just a bonus...I love it myself!) I also strangely get a lot of positive comments about it out in the community.. strangers or employees etc. I accidentally left a bag of groceries at Publix last month, and when I went back to pick up the bag, I laughed at the attached post-it: "BLUE HAIR GIRL". I think I saved it. Anyway. TLDR this rocks.

The lighter and more damaged your hair, the more vibrant and dark the colour. I used this once in 2015. My roots were darker blue, everything else was smokey pastel blue. I loved the multicolour of it all. Skip to current. I let my hair grow out for 3 years, finally decided to bleach it silver, the way I did for decades, again, with the plan to use this on top when all was said and done. Hair was platinum, then I used wella T18 to tone, so very platinum/silver. Waited a few days to give my hair a rest. Finally used this today. I'm not certain if the formula is different, or if it's my hair? Most of my hair from the root to just a few inches from the ends is very blue, the ends are smokey pastel blue. I'm going to use a harsher shampoo to strip some of the blue, in hopes more of the smokey pastel thing will happen. It's a pretty blue, but I really wanted that silvery smokey pastel blue it gave me back in the day. 💙 It will not stick to virgin hair, or grey/white hair that's unaffected by bleach or toner. Over all, I like it, but if you're looking for exactly what it looks like on the box, you may be a bit disappointed.

I used this once before, and it turned out decent, so I tried it again (abt a year later). This time to turned my hair a very dark purple gray brown shade. I figured it would fade fast, and washed it next day. No fade. I originally planned to use a white gloss toner once this had faded, as I did the first time... but now I doubt it will work. Not happy.
