Mountable and Easy to Use
After reading a few other reviews, I was worried I might get a knock off LifeHammer, but I thoroughly inspected it and compared it to LifeHammerโs actual website and product information sheet and al of the details and photos match, so Iโm confident this is a legit LifeHammer. I bought one for my car and for my husbandโs car. The Amazon product description matches except it says the product is 8โ long, but itโs not quite 8โ. All other measurements are exact. Proโs: โขOne side Glows in the Dark (Make sure that side is up so it will glow. Thereโs a sticker that tells you which side glows.) โขThe handle is long enough that you can easily grip the LifeHammer and hit the window. (Youโre supposed to hit the window near a corner. Look at the corner, then go towards be center of the window in a diagonal and hit it around 3-4 inches in.) โขEasy to use (Pull the seatbelt tight with one hand and use the blade on the life hammer to cut through the seatbelt with the other hand. You donโt want any slack in the seatbelt when youโre trying to cut it.) โขMultiple ways to install it (The two options they provide are 3 areas to add screws, or retractable needles that allow you to mount it on a fabric area of your vehicle. Make sure to mount it within arms reach. If your seatbelt is locked, it needs to be where you can reach it. You can also use zip ties to mount the black stand and then push the LifeHammer into the holder. In case of an emergency, Cut your belt off first, then your passengers, then knock out a back side window or the window near the trunk in order for everyone to escape.

Excellent quality, easy to install
Excellent quality, easy to install, with multiple installation options, including retractable needle sharp pins that allow installation in vehicle roof fabric and carpeting adjacent to foot wells and other convenient locations. Heavy duty, high quality, and reasonably priced. Cheap insurance, should be standard equipment in all cars. Don't overthink it, just buy a couple and install them in every car you own.

Have a window in your car?? Then you need to purchase these!!
After the early morning crash here in Charleston, SC, that caused the drowning deaths of 3 adults & a dog, it really alarmed us. They were ALL locals who were avid fishers & boaters, yet, sadly, they all perished in the water of a deep creek off the Stono River right near a marina.. Here in Charleston, we are very "land-limited" being right off the Atlantic ocean, nestled among major deep water rivers that access our ports. In addition we're surrounded by lots of barrier islands, marshes, tidal creeks, lakes, and more. This summer like every summer we've also heard about the deaths of many children being left in hot, unattended cars. So, this purchase was LONG overdue. Like my hand gun, it's another device for safety that I pray I never have to use. Love the fact that it's glow in the dark (DON'T put in your glove box as it wont't glow). The 2-pack was a bargain price compared to e price of one so I highly recommend getting the 2-pack. Even if you only need one, there's someone out there that could use it.. I purchased the 2-pack for my husband & myself. We're both real estate brokers & spend about 80% of our time on the road here where we are covered with bridges and navigating above the water on any given day!!

A MUST BUY for EVERY car!!!
Love these! I have them in both of my cars. Two ways to attach: first is with a pin type. just push into the car wherever you want. second is with screws. For one car (and older one) I use the first method which I placed the black holder up against the ceiling and there's two silver pins that are built in and you just push from the center of the black piece to the edges... the pins will essentially dig into the roof fabric so you can't see them but are strong enough to hold the hammer. For the other car (brand new) I had to come up with a new method since I have a sun roof that if so big I couldn't put the hammer on the ceiling. And since I want the hammer accessible from all five seats in the car I decided to wrap velco (soft side) around the hammer handle and then place velco (rough side) down by the center console where a rear passengers feet would go. That way anyone can get to it in an emergency. In this car I did not use the black holder at all. It is always better to have something before you need it!!!

Great little device.
Better safe than sorry, purchased this as a gift, chances of having to use this are are pretty remote, but you never know! Lost a star because I do not like the fact that to attach it to the car you have to puncture holes in your console or wherever you need to attach it.

GREAT SIZE FOR THE CAR
My son told me about these, so I ordered it. I like the brightness of it and I hope never to use it!

Have these in all cars
Always in my car and my kids cars. Praying we never have to use them but Iโm comfortable that they are there.

Updated mounting bracket
I've purchased these in the past and bought more for a new vehicle. Feels like a sturdy, good quality product. They've updated the mounting bracket. It now has retractable pins/barbs so you can pin it to the carpet. I keep mine down by my right leg, along where the center console hump is. Easy to get to in an emergency.

Brilliant
Bought for a specific use for smashing car windows in which dogs are left on hot days.

Probably will work okay but feels like a toy in hand
The plastic casing is actually moulded as clamshell halves and folded closed to contain the metal points. Looks pretty cheap to manufacture; I feel I paid too much for it. It feels really flimsy and light in the hand rather like a plastic toy. Probably better being lighter if the car is involved in an accident. The bracket design is terrible. Tried mounting on the door pocket and the tightening screw will keep snagging your clothes stepping out. Can't find a decent place to mount. Hope it works well if ever needed.
