Good quality, heavy duty twine. No smell or weird feeling to it, just feels like solid cotton. I used it to make pumpkin shapes to my sourdough loaves and it worked well for that use. Just remember to oil your twine, as it is natural cotton so will leave tufts behind when you pull it away from your bread if you don't!
