Is this safe for cats living in the house?

Yes. We have a cat but we put her outside whilst we clean the floor because it makes sense not to walk on the floor whilst it dries... and that is pretty quick anyway.

I don't want to use the bona cleaner - i just want to use plain water. can i empty the cartridge and refill with water?

Bona was voted the best wood floor cleaner by Good house keeping scoring 98% against 24 other cleaners! Why fill it with anything else?!

Does it come with the cartridge refill please?

I'm confused by the mixed answers to this question, so I spoke to Bona. They confirmed that yes, Lakeland supply the Bona Spray Mop with a 850ml Cartridge of Bona Wood Floor Cleaner. It also comes with a concentrated floor cleaning solution, that you use to refill the Cartridge when it is empty. So you get the equivalent of 2 Cartridges of Bona Wood Floor Cleaner... great value! So I ordered one. And indeed it came with all of this.

the little handle that you squeeze has gone all floppy and will not spray.how do I fix it.

If you havent had it too long id contact the seller or Amazon....should.last a reasonable time....its not exactly cheap.
