Though it does the job of waterproofing, it also creates heat in the body and causes excessive sweating during summer, since it contains waterproof material inside. So, if you have AC in your room, it should be fine during summer days.

Look at all the photos provided for best results. They show the best kind of mattress this will fit on. One of the photos notes to measure to the inside not the outside for best fit , the photo explains it well.
