A real quality piece of kit! Made of a lightweight but robust metal alloy that's easily adjustable for a range of mobiles. I use mine for videoing Youtube and Instagram clips mounted on a standard 35mm camera tripod. Simple to twist/turn and rotate, then lock firmly into position - it holds my iphone securely. Brilliant - totally recommended. Worth paying a bit more for....

Functional and good value. Seems well made and robust.

I do like the quality of the phone grip (nice and soft to open with a separate tension lock - it doesn't feel like it will damage your phone at all). And I do like the Arca compatibility. But the rotary lock is not very strong (you can still move the phone when it is locked, and it doesn't click precisely to an exact horizontal or vertical). Not a huge problem but could be better (some of my cheaper plastic mounts are more precise). Biggest disappointment is the thumbscrew that controls the up/down angle. It's hard to reach, and even if you can tighten it fully, it doesn't grip very hard. So if you add a light to the cold shoe, the mount will slowly pivot down because it can't cope with the weight.

I lost the phone holder for my ringlight so messaged the seller and they recommended this product. It's really good quality and I like how the size is adjusted to fit my phone. Rather than pulling it apart like a traditional phone holder, and being injured when it snaps back into place, you turn the screw clockwise and anti-clockwise to get the correct fit for your phone.

The NEEWER Smartphone Holder (Phone Tripod Mount) is a fantastic addition to my setup. The build quality is solid, with a firm grip that holds my phone securely in place without slipping. Well engineered and amazing value.

The Neewer SP-02 smartphone adapter allows your smartphone (and small accessories such as an external mic. or video light) to be attached to any standard tripod head (either by screw or Arca-Swiss plate). I have used it with full size Manfrotto tripods, and small table-top models such as GorillaPod, Manfrotto PIXI or Zeadio and it is great! (Phone can be turned portrait or landscape without removing it from mount, USB cable can be plugged in if needed without interfering with mount, and it will hold ANY phone - I have tried phones upto 6.7in). All-metal construction, weight 155g. Much better than any cheap plastic smartphone holders you may have used before! So good I bought another!

The item is made of flimsy plastic (I was expecting metal as is normal for Neewer) and not of the quality of the other neewer products that I have purchased i.e. Tripod, Telescope phone mount and Intervalometer. With 1 minute of searching I managed to find this exact mount in an "action camera kit" without the Neewer branding for the same price! As far as the mount goes, it does the job but not exceptionally well. Keep in mind that this is designed for regular tripods and it won't fit a Neewer camera tripod, as I thought it would, so I had to make an adapter mount for it.

Decent smartphone holder and tripod adapter. It is made from plastic, so be careful not to force it or tighten the screws too much. Otherwise, the holder has a flexible design: it works in both portrait and landscape mode. The simplest mount uses only the holder part (the rotating support removed) screwed on the tripod head. A mini-tripod is the easiest option for desktop operation. For maximum flexibility, use the Neewer Z-Flex Tilt head as suggested in the photos (shown here in desktop operation). This is the second holder I purchased (the other one was for a friend). Recommended for vlogging, teleconferences, etc.

This unit is solid, easy to adjust, fits on the 3/8" screw on my travel tripod, the arc plate fits on my Wimberley WH-200 and my Gitzo tripod. The knurled knobs are easy to turn and tighten to hold the phone steady in the cradle. The rubber pads within the unit prevent the phone from being damaged and help hold it. It is light and compact so easy to carry with your gear. I like my full frame cameras but when my wife and I want a simple photo of us in front of something, this will work using my tripod, as I can frame the photo, give a bit of distance making the people and the background more spaced, get front to back focus, set the timer on the camera and get a nice photo. For the record I dislike and do not own a selfie stick !

Lo uso ormai da qualche mese e non segnalo particolari difetti. Buona ingegnerizzazione e costruzione. Perfetto per chi deve usarlo su un cavalletto per fare un uso più professionale del proprio smartphone. Calza tranquillamente prodotti da 5” in su (io lo uso per un IPhone pro max). Occhio: l’oggetto è totalmente in alluminio e può soffrire solo nelle parti in cui sono presenti filettature se si forza troppo (ma questa è una caratteristica di tutti i prodotti in alluminio). Lo consiglio!
