will this up the line level from my cell phone to my home amps RCA input to play thru my stereo speakers?

Nope, it’s a complete straight pass through, zero power. I love mine, although I do wish the volume knob was a bit larger.

will the switch degrade the sonic? I'm using 10AWG speaker wire, and etc. will this be the weakest section of my audiophile system?

I have huge gear hanging off of this (sunfire) and cannot tell any difference between channels when switching.
