Do u have to use this before painting or is it optional?

The angelus leather prep cleans and remove old paint and dye very well. If it's already dyed and not painted I would recommend it.

Can this product and the leather paint be used on faux leather?

HI, Yes toy both questions this can be used on man made leathers and the acrylic paint can also be used on man made leathers

I'm wanting to use this on raw edges of a purse flap and strap. Will this work on raw edges?

to deglaze and prepare the edge it will work

Can you use this on Jordan Midsoles?
