5V Micro Solar Panel (5P5VWIRES)

Puts out the voltage and current specified. I used them to replace the too small panels on some barn lights, they now work all night.

First off, measure the voltage! I measured around 6V Voc (Open Circuit Voltage) and around 175 mA max for Isc (Short Circuit Current). I was not using a fancy setup, just a basic multimeter. While this 1V over described voltage probably won't be a large issue for most applications, and if it is you are probably already double checking this anyways, just remember to check and design appropriately! Other than the voltage being listed incorrectly, these are good, cheap little panels. I bought the wired ones, but wish I'd just done it myself since the wires are pretty small stranded 22 gauge from my quick measurements. Not horrible, but nothing special. You could get double the panels for slightly more if you solder it yourself. Durability seems decent, nice coating, pretty rigid, and large pads to solder on. Overall great product for hobby projects needing DIY solar charging setups.

I use these for a fun 3D printing motorized marble run project with my son. I thought it would be fun to make the marble run solar powered. Solar panels work great. I recommend them.

Work well. Sturdy and responsive. Using to charge super caps and it gets full voltage even in evening light. I didn't gauge it but they are strong enough to charge 40F of caps in about 30 min and I have 2 sitting in the shade in parallel. You will most likely need all 5 if you intend to run a constant MCU or quick charge a phone.

Honestly I was impressed. I was getting near 100% of the ratings. Glued a few together and created a parallel array that gives me 2A easy. Hooked up a solar USB charger cable and I just leave it out there recharging my small portable power packs( in a weather proof box) I use them to then charge my USB based devices at home. Not bad at all for cheapo cells! Made for a fun little project. You can get a good usb charger from Voltaic.
