I can't say how much this ksafe has helped me. I bought mine one over a year ago and its now become one of those things that I didn't realise I needed until I had it. I suffer from a nerve condition in my neck and it's allowed me to be so much more disciplined with my technology use by locking it away for a few hours so I don't over use it. The first thing worth pointing out it is how solidly built it is. the base is made from solid plastic and it fits/ locks to the lid perfectly. It's just as sturdy and solid now as it was a year ago. I'm not the best at looking after things and it's literally exactly the same as when I bought it, I've not even had to replace the batteries and I use it 2/3 times a day. The other thing about it is that you definitely can't open it once the timer has been set. I've literally tried EVERYTHING from taking the batteries out to attempting to reset it by pressing the the wheel for 20 secs. I had tried a lockbox from a different company before and the door would just fall open if the batteries fell out which annoyingly defeated the purpose of the whole thing. It's also really easy to use. As I find it difficult to press buttons, I am always hesitant before buying anything with buttons/settings incase it gives me pain but it's really easy to use and quite fun. You spin the wheel to the time you want it to open it and then press the wheel down., It then counts down from 5 to 0 before locking. Final thing worth mentioning - it's handy that the lid and base are seperate so you can take the lid off and wash the base seperately. This has probably saved me from ruining the lid as I'm a total slap dash washer-upper and there's no way I wouldn't have ruined the computer in the lid if I had to wash the base whilst the lid was stuck to it. I was racking my brain to think of any improvements but I literally can't think of any. It might be better if it was slightly cheaper, but then would it? I'd rather buy something sturdy that lasts way longer than a sub standard cheap alternative. They've clearly invested a good chunk of the product cost into making something good quality. My motto is you get what you pay for and I'm not wrong yet . . .

For me my main addiction is my phone, however I like how the product is so versatile that you can use it to store other items to which you are addicted. The following are my review points: Pros: 1) It's large enough to store a good quantity of items (in my case I could store multiple devices in there) 2) It's easy to use, just turn the knob to set the timer, click it to start the process (5 seconds) which allows you time to cancel it in case you've made any mistakes. 3) The timer can go up to days as well!! Although I would probably just need it for a max of half a day :) 4) It has a nice sleek design and has various colored tops, so at least it has an appeal factor on top of it's performance quality. 5) One major thing I was really impressed with is that I found out you could remove the batteries whilst the box is locked, so I thought that this may be a huge potential flaw in the item but upon removing the batteries the box was still locked and when I put them back in the timer didnt reset, it simply resumed as if nothing happened. I'm very impressed with that. 6) The box seems very durable, although I'm not stupid enough to pry it open or break the product which I've spent considerable money on xD, so I'm assuming if you accidentally dropped it it will remain intact. 7) And finally, yes it has actually helped me reduce my iphone usage especially during evenings where I would spend hours and harm my sleep as a result, thus enabling me to engage in more value adding activities. Cons (potential recommendation points): 1) Batteries as the power source. So that means you have to be well-stocked on batteries (although I'm not sure what the power consumption of the device is) which essentially means there is maintenance costs and time involved. 2) There is no power-off button which I'm dissapointed in, I mean most devices (even battery powered ones) have an off-switch xD! So how I resolve that is by literally removing the batteries from the device to prevent unnecessary usage of the batteries when I'm not using it. 3) Would love to see future models which can be recharged instead of relying on batteries. That would be great, would definitely invest in that, even if it's slightly priced higher.

Product is sturdy and reliable, simple to use. It is extortionately priced for what it is; 2-3 times what it is worth but I knew the price when I ordered it. It is priceless in delivering exactly what was required. It enables the girlfriend to take control of the munchies that she often gets on evenings when she drinks. All the sweets, chocolates and biscuits are locked away in a suitcase and the keys are in the kitchen safe for 12 hours. If only the ice cream could go in there as well, but that will soon be gone! Seriously, it is great value. She is taking control of her sweet fix cravings that arise after a few wines (like the attraction of a kebab after a few pints) and I don't have to consider saying things like ' Do you really want to eat that now?'

I am finding this very useful, and have to say that I do not agree with others who say that it is too expensive, because the price actually does make you think twice about smashing it open when you crave whatever's inside it. That said, it is not suitable for managing serious habits/addictions because it would be trivial to break open by sawing through the plastic with a hacksaw. I personally use it to restrict my access to certain distracting media whilst I work from home, and I've found it is super effective for that. I would prefer it if the timer had a longer maximum duration though. Currently the maximum is ten days, and I can imagine for certain habits, you would start small, but then try to go "clean" for longer and longer periods each time. It feels wrong that this should be capped at just ten days.

So far so good, I love this product. Yes it is pricey, but I have wanted to buy this for over a year now. I finally made the plunge to buy it and I'm so glad I did! This product will definitely pay for itself, I put my bank card in it so I can no longer make unnecessary trips to the shop on a daily basis. Aswell as this I plan to put my snacks in it to help me lose weight. If the snacks don't fit I can always lock them away in a suitcase then put the keys in the safe! Definitely recommend this product.

Total rip off for what it is - will be returning!

Very expensive for what it is. Packaging could have been better. Battery compartment was way too small for Energizer branded batteries. I felt I would break it if I tried to force them in (I read instructions and was inserting them as directed. First one at top and second one against spring). Duracells (I had never considered AA’s were a different length) just about went in, but it gave a very bad feeling to the quality of the unit. I do not remember the last item I bought that did not come with batteries! Rotating dial also felt low quality and I did not feel confident in it unit, so returned before using. I was expecting a much higher build quality for the price, but apart from the clear base (which was v nice) everything felt cheap IMO.

If you need to control the urges / temptations this is a great locking device.

Great concept, works exactly as described, and well made. Has a couple of annoyances, 1) timer can only be set to a max of 10 days and 2) you have to turn the dial a lot to get it to a few days, no fast and easy way to set long time periods.

Had a tough time to work on my will power, but this makes it easy. I can decide how long to forcefully prohibit smoking! Highly recommended

Excellent outils pour gérer vos addictions! La confection est solide, le plastique est épais et résistant...le mécanisme de fermeture très pratique, la grosse mollette pour régler le compte à rebours parfaite, fun le petit chrono de cinq seconde avant fermeture. Bref le prix est élevé mais la qualité et l'incroyable efficacité du produit le font vite oublier :) cette boîte m'a permis d'arrêter de fumer comme un pompier 😊

Voilà ce qu'il me fallait, je ne suis pas capable d'acheter un tablette de chocolat sans la manger en entier. Avec Kitchen Safe, l'on ne discute pas, une fois que c'est verrouillé, il faut attendre que l'horloge revienne à zéro! ( entre 1,minute à dix jours) Enfin je peux contrôler mes ardeurs alimentaires !

Bin fast Handysüchtig besonders Abends schaue ich immer drauf , konnte mich nicht auf Filme, Gespräche o.ä. konzentrieren ...Kitchen Safe ist ein Supertool ....ab 19 Uhr Handy in die BOX für 15 Stunden schon herrscht himmlische Ruhe !! Ein Buch lesen , Meditieren, einen spannenden Film schauen , schlafen !!! Einfach Klasse !!! Hat zwar seinen Preis aber der war es mir Wert : Media Detox !!! Box ist , stabil , wertig , einfach zu bedienen !!
