Well made
I received this grill in excellent condition. It's a solid well engineered grill. Im looking forward to using it. I assembled it in about 30 minutes and I'm no genius. I read some reviews before purchasing it. Some found it difficult to get the lid handle attached. I think the secret is don't tighten all the studs leave them loose then put in the wood piece in then tighten all, and away you go. I had no issues whatsoever with the assembly. And I would recommend this product it's a great piece of kit to have.

Great tasting food.
Great fun once you have mastered the temp, prefer to cook outside now if the weather is OK. Just cooked a boston butt low and slow, came out great. Like the fact when your finished cooking just shut the vents off and most of the fuel will remain unused. Had it for 12 months no issues would buy again.

Donโt be put off by itโs strange shape!
Really efficient with just small amount of charcoal. Amazing how hot it gets! Deceiving size wise but easily cooks large chicken. Only thing missing, so youโre not cooking directly on griddle, is a small metal rack ( bought one locally for under a fiver!).

Excelente compra compulsiva XD

Great versatile grill and smoker
I'm a charcoal guy but never owned a kamado style grill. Got this so I could smoke meat on camping trips, but have ended up using it WAY more than I expected to. Perfect for my family of 4, I've done everything from burgers and steaks, to prime rib, pork butt, and ribs. Some things I've learned: - Absolutely buy the smoking stone for this grill, it's a fantastic smoker. I've got this little thing to go almost 18 hours on one load of lump charcoal holding steady at 225. Buy wood chunks, not chips. I also found a little rack to put in it so I can fit 2 racks of ribs in here. - Like other kamado style grills, theres a learning curve with the temp. It gets hot fast, and holds that heat for a long time. So it's easy to increase temp, but tough to reduce it. Just have to heat it up gradually. With both vents only open only a crack it'll hover at 225 with the smoking stone. I like to start steaks at this level, take them off mid-way for a brief rest while I open the vents fully, and in about 5 minutes this baby will be at 500ยฐ to get a great sear to finish. - There are some comments about quality. The initial grill I was sent was dented and I sent it back, but the next one they sent was great. So they might just have some quality control issues initially but once they send a functioning grill it seems to last. I've had mine for over a year and have put it through the ringer and it's been great. - I like that it's double insulated steel instead of ceramic. Because it's cheaper (green egg of similar size is over $500), this won't shatter if it's tipped over, and if you touch it it's cool to the touch (great for camping when the kids may bump into it). Overall this is a great grill and a surprisingly good smoker that I've used to kick out a lot of good BBQ. Fun to use, and looks cool too!

AMAZING mini BBQ-Update
I did the research and suggested this BBQ to my husband. We needed something that was good quality with fantastic bbq taste and this certainly met our expectations! We've had both natural gas and propane BBQs in the past, sold each when we moved long distance, bought this one after considering the pricy, heavy, bulky, full sized ceramic cookers that are becoming popular. I was skeptical about this one in every way and so was my husband. We had no problems assembling it. We've used it to cook hamburgers, chicken breast, pork loin and we can't get over the amazing results and the wood smoked natural flavour. We bought wood charcoal from Home Depot in a BIG bag for under $20. (Canadian Tire also has the same big bag for about the same price) You use about as much as you can scoop up in 2 hands and maybe burn only 1/3 of it for each meal. When buying the wood charcoal feel the bag to make sure the chips aren't tiny because they might fall thru the grill. You can always break the big pieces, if you need to. We bought an electric charcoal starter from Amazon which takes about 5 min to start the chips glowing a bit, then after removing it another 5 minutes to close the lid and heat the BBQ to 200 degrees with the vents wide open. Then you set the vents to whatever the instruction Char-griller book says for the meat you're cooking. My husband was concerned about the time it might take to heat up, but he loves the flavor and says it doesn't take much longer than gas or propane, so it's totally worth it! We looked at YouTube videos where people devise some kind of drip tray, but it's totally unnecessary if you regulate the vents and don't crank it wide open. My husband loves to cook at 300 degrees and lower. He recommends the ThermoPro Remote food thermometer, also from Amazon. He can leave the food cooking and wander about without the worry of overcooking because it has a remote he carries around with him. For the $200 we spent it is an AWSOME deal. Just the right size for 2 to 4 people. If you're worried about feeding a crowd, why not buy 2 of these Acorn Jr's? It is still way cheaper than the big Kamados and very portable. UPDATE: July 2018 to April 2023 - We're still using this Jr Akorn. In July we'll be in our 6th season of using it. We live in Saskatchewan and we leave it outside, uncovered, on our deck year round. We once took it on a camping trip where it greatly impressed those who joined us there. What's more to say? We are happy campers and very happy with this BBQ.
