High Quality Chopping Board
I was pleasantly surprised as this product is way better in real life than on the picture. I bought this chopping board for myself and my girlfriend as we Love cooking, so I thought this would be the perfect gift for Us. The chopping board is very attractive and I leave mine on the counter all the time - because it looks great. Pros: + Easy to clean. To keep your cutting board clean - Wash it with warm soapy water after each use. + Easy to maintain. Though it is easy to maintain and easy to clean - Like wood, it requires periodic oiling, to prevent the bamboo from drying out. Otherwise, with time, it will lead to splits and cracks if the cutting board is used for a long time. + Hard and Durable. Bamboo is a remarkably tough material which means it can handle tough and frequent cutting jobs. + Beautiful Appearance. It gives a clean, attractive and elegant look to your kitchen and blends perfectly with any kitchen dรฉcor. + Eco-friendly. Bamboo is natural and 100% biodegradable. It is considered to be Eco-friendly and can easily be made from a material that is not damaging the environment. + Extra Large size. Cons: - Its hardness makes it tough on knives, causing regular blunting of knives (I do not consider this significant enough to deduct a star). Overall, you won't regret investing in this wonderful, good quality, very well made cutting board.. Just check it out and thank me later :D

Good Solid Chopping Board - Almost 3yrs Daily Use And Still Spot On
Purchase May '23 - still perfectly flat, no distortion, no cracks or splits. It's in use almost every day, for all the usual suspects - onions, carrots, turnip, leeks, parsnip etc etc - so does get some heavy duty cutting from some very sharp knives - but it's still solid. It does get washed after every use - just hot soapy water in the sink, then stood up on end to drain and dry - would never leave it to just soak. If ever needed, would happily buy another - although now coming up to 3yrs daily use, doubt I'll ever need to....

it's different from a standard wooden board.
EDIT: I wish to edit my review, having lived with this board for a while. I'm liking this board more than I had expected. Being that it is hard, it's easier to clean than a soft (wood) board because food cannot stick. There is no coloration due to food being absorbed, as most wood boards do. It also dries out much faster.. It is absolutely non-porous. Considering the ease of use, I will not rate this board as a 4 star instead of a 3 star. If I had more money, I would possibly have BOTH a hard board and a soft board. ORIGINAL REVIEW: my review is my own opinion, you decide on your own. this is a chopping board made of bamboo, it clearly says so on the name. As such, it is quite hard. This might be a plus for some, but it's generally useful to have the knife slightly bite into the board material when you work, to complete the cut, rather than what happens with synthetic boards, such as plastic. The board is very large, which i like. The hardness of the material also means that the typical TAK TAK TAK sound of using the board while chopping is quite louder then with a wooden board, even with a cloth under the board. Also, i've seen the next day this board being sold in a store for substantially less. So, it's an ok board, if you need a chopping board this will do, but if you find a large wooden board it will likely be better, DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU WANT in a board. If you prefer a harder board and are willing to put up with the increased noise, and don't mind spending a bit more than the street price, you can buy this board here. on the plus side, it is substantially lighter than a wooden board, while being just as solid as something quite thicker.

A cheap and high-quality chopping board
So far this chopping board has been fantastic. I'm a beginner and recently had to cook everything myself. This chopping board has just made my life easier, since I love having fresh vegetables for lunch or dinner. My previous chopping board was way too small for my ambitions, but this one is spacious, allowing you to chop meat, fillet a small/medium-sized fish, or simply cut and trim some veggies. On my second picture, I put a pepper on the board so you can get an idea of its true size. Be mindful though: this pepper is bigger than average. The nicely-carved also enables you to chop your meat without worrying about the gravy or any sort of juice. There are two handles on both sides of the board (fourth picture) as well, so that carrying it around your kitchen is never an issue. It's easy to clean, doesn't damage your knife, and most importantly, for a high-quality chopping board, it's extremely cheap! Overall, I'm delighted by this product. Finally, the company will reach out to you after your delivery, which is great if you have any issues with the board, or if you want to express your satisfaction to them. That's a great customer service! 5/5 in all categories.

Can't knock it - especially at this price
It's been about 2 and a half months of near daily usage now and I'm entirely satisfied with the purchase. It arrived promptly upon ordering and was well packaged - no budget store natty plastic or worn seams. The size is really ideal, I had a cheeseboard sized chopping board that was fine when I didn't really cook. But much like the other new home cooks post lockdown I needed a bigger surface to work with. I imagine the bamboo is why it doesn't have as dense a feel, not that it's too light and flimsy either, as traditional thick wooden chopping blocks. This means it's relatively painless on the dainty wrists to haul about the kitchen. It has a smooth surface that granted did near immediately start to show the nick marks and etches from knife usage (as others have posted) but it hasn't been anything drastic. Granted it's mostly been cutting vegetables and though it etches easily it doesn't mean a sharp knife has cut a large groove through it yet. The only grooves thus far are those along the edges to catch meat juices and other detritus I imagine. Wish they were pushed out a tad bit closer to the edges but it's nitpicking at this point. I haven't yet found the need to oil it in any manner but I have been careful to dry it soon after washing with soap and water. The indents cut on the two sides help avoid the fingernail tormenting dilemma of having to pry the board off the table. Overall for the price it's absolutely a solid option I'm gladly using and don't think others would mind either. I will add again though, I'm clearly still a novice at cooking but it's been serviceable for me.

LONG term review.
I've had this chipping board for nearly 8 years. It's basically as good as the day I got it. A fee scratches here and there on the edges but the main surface looks remarkably good. It's little grooves right the edge help capture wayward scraps and seeds and for the price, I cannot see what more you could ask for.
