I’m a bit picky when it comes to my cast iron and don’t really trust the cheap stuff coming from China. This, however, was made in Taiwan and so far hasn’t disappointed. Fits perfectly in my 10.25” Lodge skillet. Heavy enough to lay the bacon flat. Used it to make smash burgers last night. Does not come preseasoned, so give it a good wash with soap and water, immediately dry and oil it. Wooden handle comes off easily enough with either a cross tip or flathead screwdriver. Don’t know what that’s coated in though, that’s my only real issue.

I got this product because I wanted to make smash burgers, and it works great. First, I like that this is wider than most burger presses, so it's big enough to make a nice sized smash burger. Second, I also love that it's made of cast iron, so it's very easy to keep clean. I primarily use cast iron pans as well, so cleaning this is a breeze. I never use soap; just warm water and a dedicated sponge I use for cast iron that never has soap on it. It's also easy to re-season if necessary. Third, since I use this on the heat, I wanted something with a safe handle so I wouldn't accidentally get burned. Because of the width and how this handle is designed, it's very safe to hold and use without touching the hot metal. Finally, with the non-stick of the cast iron and the ridges, I've found that it easily lifts off the burger without sticking. Basically this does everything I wanted. The only issue I've had is when you lift it off the meat, a lot of fat drips off. Even when I hold it on its side over the pan for the grease to drip off, there's still grease on it. So I use a plate to place the burger press down while flipping and removing burgers from the pan. Overall, I highly recommend this if you're looking for a great burger press.

Its great! I removed the handle and seasoned it a few times. Used it to make smash burgers and of course, to press bacon down for better surface to shmeat contact. Works great!

Perfect fit for my frying pan to use as a bacon press. Easy to clean and nothing beats cast iron.

Wish I had this years ago never had better crispy bacon. Best thing you can just put it on your Induction cook top to heat up in seconds and crisp both side on the bacon at once. Enjoy
