Briggs & Riley Baseline Spinner

There is no doubt you are paying for the quality and workmanship. My only concern is the size. It’s a bit smaller than typical carry ons. I wish i can compare it with the 21” global or sympatico to know if the size difference really matters, but I can make it work. Also, if you’re looking for a lightweight luggage, this might not be for you. However, the overall value for what you paid for is something you won’t regret. Im happy and satisfied, and would highly recommend. Wish BR will offer in Navy colour. Update: Used this luggage on my recent trips, and found the compression mechanism to be great and helpful. The wheels glided smoothly without any struggle, and the body was sturdy and balanced. This luggage added ease to my travel experience. Also realized that the smaller size can even be advantage since a lot of aircrafts now have smaller overhead cabin that will not fit bigger carry-ons. Two thumbs up!

The wheels feel great and seems like the suitcase will last a lifetime.

Boy, I so want to give this 5 stars, but the weight . . . The size is just right. Slightly smaller than a normal carry-on/roll aboard, which means it ALWAYS meets the size requirements for any international airline I've flown on. The slightly smaller size also means if they are checking bags at the gate they will look past me searching for the bigger bags. The smaller size has never been an issue in terms of what I pack. I usually travel with a smallish check bag, plus this small roll aboard, so I've never even noticed the loss of space. The assurance of meeting size requirements and never being asked to check it completely compensated for the loss of a couple inches. The ONLY flaw is the weight of the bag empty. Now that international airlines are limiting the weight of carry-ons this has stopped being my go to bag for international travel (which is why Ibought it in the first place. I still use it for domestic flights, but when I have to weigh carry-ons for international travel this bag has a hard time making the cut.

The outside dimensions are perfect for overhead compartments. Fairly light and well made. The issue that has made me stop using it is that it automatically expands and no way to lock it either way. If you put an under seat bag on top of it the bottom will expand which puts the wheels at odd angles and will only roll forwards and backwards meaning it won't turn sideways to roll through airplane isles comfortably

I love this carry-on bag. The quality level of the bag is top in class. It looks great. It rolls well at the airport. It is thoughtfully designed with plenty of storage capacity despite its small footprint. With Briggs & Riley you get what you pay for.
