Wow!! I am usually Mr. Skeptical about any "small" and cheap technology so needless to say, I didn't expect much from this $40 item, even though it boasted 100 ft range, works with iphones and Ipads, etc, etc... I needed something to record youtube videos wirelessly on my Ipad (I wanted a personal mic I could clip on for quality as I did not want to have to yell), but couldn't find any decent microphone to do so. I decided to give this product a try when I saw the price and went for it. It took me less than 30 seconds to pair the receiver with the 2 microphones (my son and I had one each as the idea was to record our conversation) and off we went! I was gobsmacked by the purity of the sound (the product even has a built-in noise cancellation setting which makes it super easy to use outside and there are also noise cancelling caps for the microphones you can put on). I tried the recordings up to 60 feet and it worked perfectly well. I couldn't see the ipad recording further than that but I will try even further next time. I am sure it will work fine if in an unobstructed line. Everything needed comes in a neat little portable pouch:the receiver, 2 microphones, a charging cable, and the 2 noise cancellation caps for the microphones. This device is also great for recording speeches or presentations clearly as the mics clip on your lapel or shirt, allowing them to always stay close to the speaker's mouth, even when they move around. No more bad quality recordings because the speaker isn't facing the table or standing microphone! I can't express how positively surprised I am with this device. You’re not going to get amazingly exceptional sound quality with these but you’ll definitely get improved sound quality. I don’t like the noise reduction feature so I don’t use that but I feel that when you don’t use it it actually still does a great job. I have recorded videos with a lot of background noise going on and the mic filtered out all of it! Also, it has great battery life. I have never had it die on me unexpectedly. *Note - in my video when I put the wind muffle on, the sound quality doesn’t seem great, but that was because there was still some movement with the muffle and that’s what it was picking up. Normally sound quality is as good with the muffle and noise canceling off as it was in the second part of the video with the middle and noise canceling on.

This microphone is surprisingly good for the price, but it does have a few quirks. It is basically unusable without the windscreen because it is way too sensitive and will become easily distorted without it. Another problem is that between various recordings the volume can drastically change, so you have to be very careful about where you place the mic and how loudly you are speaking. For example, slightly moving your head in a certain direction could cause the volume to go way up or down unexpectedly. I find myself having to readjust volume during editing as a result, and that gets pretty annoying and time consuming. Another complaint that I have is if you’re not careful you can easily accidentally press the reverb button and totally ruin whatever you are recording. I don’t really understand the purpose of the built-in reverb, but maybe someone has a reason why they would use it. That being said, this microphone has generally high-quality audio for the price. It is especially good if you are beginning as a content creator and don’t want to invest in a name brand system until you were actually making money from your content. Whatever you are doing, this microphone is way better than using the one built into your phone if you are needing to record your own voice. The battery life is great. I’ve used it for many many hours without ever really needing to recharge it. It’s also very easy to use, insert the transmitter into your iPhone and turn on the mic. It’s best to always test it out to make sure everything is working properly before doing a recording Overall highly recommended if you are a content creator on a budget.

Got this one to make videos & improve audio quality therein. Look is cute & small enough. Had more expectations from noise cancellation. It's fine but if you've high noise of trafic around, it still gets captured. Overall it's decent product of its price.
