Angerstone Axe & Hatchet Sharpener, Axe Sharpening Stone, 180/320 Grit

I am blown away by the quality of this blade sharpener and it's little leather carrying case!! This is so nice looking- I almost hate to use it. The pouch is put together well, with a strong fastening snap. The puck shaped stone has 2 different grits for different sharpening results. The size is perfect for carrying on a belt. It even came with little finger protector sleeves! This is nice enough to give as a gift!

Bought to sharpen misc. outdoor tools. All In all it's been a great purchase.

Interesting and useful. I have 4 vs 5 stars because as you use this, dust rubs off the stone, a fair amount as the sharpening action wears the stone. And the dust is very fine, so I suggest using this outside or over a wastebasket. But it sharpens well. So it meets its purpose.

Very handy for sharpening edged tools working in the forest.must be wet to work right.comes with nice leather case to carry it.

This item is great. I use it for my camp axe and knife. It dose the job.

Good price and stone & leather pouch seem to be as good as the ones that are 2-3x more in price. I can get my Estwing Axe and Hatchet ok sharp but not razor sharp with this stone. I may try some diamond files next time. I think these may be more suited for blades & edges that are trashed. Blades that just need that final 25% is say maybe a finer grit is needed.

Good quality stone at a good price.

As a quick sharpener, ok. You probably want something bigger and less unwieldy to put an edge on a new axe.
