The LeapFrog Mr. Pencil Scribble & Write has been a fantastic addition to our learning toys. It’s engaging, interactive, and makes practicing letters actually fun for kids. My child loves following the animated instructions with the stylus, and the screen provides clear guidance on how to write letters, numbers, and even simple shapes. It’s durable, lightweight, and great for travel—perfect for car rides or quiet time at home. The feedback system is encouraging rather than frustrating, which helps build confidence instead of stress. There are 2 sound volume and the screen is quite bright. Overall, it’s a great learning tool that makes writing practice feel like play. Highly recommend for ages 3–6!

Purchased for 2.8yr old who is obsessed with phonics right now. Good options for writing (tracing), spelling, reading and drawing. You can add 3 names for your child to learn the spelling which is good. The pencil sensitivity is good. Only niggle is that the accent is in American English, not British. Z is still ‘Zed’ and not ‘Zee’ which is good but words like ‘draw’ our in American accent.

My little boys absolutely loves this and it’s helping him with letter formation. He particularly responds well to the interactive and visual formats to support learning. It would benefit from a slightly larger screen size for children who have poorer fine motor skills but does benefit from a chunky pen which my 4 year old is able to hold correctly and is also suitable for his left handed use.

I bought this for my 4 year old nieces birthday. She loves it. She's at school in September and its really helping with her writing and pronunciation. I think it's great value for month and pretty hardy as there had been some fights between the two kids for it and it's been flung across the floor. Still works great. Both 2 and 4yr old have found it useful.

My 2 year old loves this. It helps teach her learn and write alphabet and numbers.
