Best flywheel gun, first gun, lovin it
My first nerf gun, the stryfe is a flywheel powerd semi auto nerf gun, good quality, just as expected, the colour is little more brighter than shown in photo(the photo colour is duller). Your darts will wear over time if not used properly. My darts weared over time and i had feeding issues (not problem of blaster)i have one problem the darts sometimes gets jammed inside the magazine of the gun( i think it is my problem cus i reload very fast) overall very good gun, value for money, it is the cheapest flywheel gun out there, fun to use, go for it👌👌😄. I bought syga aftermarket bullets(100 darts for 259 rupees), and an 18 round stick magazine to upgrade my stryfe

Great for kids around the house or a beginner modder
It's a Stryfe. For those that do not know, there's a whole community of grown-ups that modify nerf guns as a hobby. This has been the go-to base model to start a mod for years. There are technical reasons I will not get into here, but the main reason is it is barebones, solid construction, and good performance. As a stock blaster, it's perfect for a kid playing around the house or backyard.Parents be aware: it's noisy. It has two flywheels (think of a football launcher) that propel the darts. It's like a hand-held vacuum noise (a bit quieter than that). It does require and use batteries. I would recommend quality rechargeables if they really like the toy (if you're keen, you can pop it open and wire it up to much cheaper and more powerful battery packs).New Modders be aware: The gun itself is okay, but if your plan is to mod, realize that has a buy-in price and will need a lot of research. You will need small screwdrivers, lithium grease, hobby wire, soldering iron, solder, IMRs or Lipos with associated charger, heat shrink, electrical tape, microswitches, epoxy putty, new motors, and a new clip with darts (the one that comes with it is tiny). Even getting deals, you're looking at about $150 to $200 upfront to do a basic rewire and get a new power source. If you plan to paint it, you need many grades of sandpaper, exacto knife, primer, paint, paintbrushes (for detailing), and a good finishing enamel. If you want to do integrations or body work, you will need at least a dremel, hot glue gun or epoxy, and probably some small files. To do the stuff you see on youtube requires hundreds of dollars of gear. If you plan to use the aftermarket body kits, just know that (after taxes and shipping) a full kit will be over $100.00This gun is a great start, but only a start. On the other hand, everyone needs a hobby and its cheaper than gardening. Once you buy-in, it gets much cheaper. It's still punchy and fun in a compact size if you are fine with stock performance. If you want something meatier from stock, the demolisher 2 in 1 is a more fun from the box and is basically a reskinned stryfe. If you want performance from stock, you need to look at nerf's rival line.

Great but for how long?
Having recently purchased this blaster for the first time since it came onto the Nerf scene several years ago, I can now stop my griping that flywheel blasters are too inconsistent for my liking. The Stryfe is powerful and accurate, something you do not see a lot of these days, much less in a blaster for only $25. On a separate note, those of you with big fingers like mine - good news! The Stryfe is incredibly comfortable to hold, boasting an extremely ergonomic handle that is great for the hands of children and adults alike. Kids in general will not only have a comfy grip to hold on to but an easier time pulling the trigger as opposed to priming a spring blaster because the Stryfe is semi-automatic. My only complaint is not even directly related to the blaster; there have been rumours for years that the Stryfe is going extinct, something that is now coming to pass as the only place you can find this blaster nowadays is online. I would definetly recommend picking up this up before it is gone forever, as the Stryfe is perhaps the most iconic and, dare I say, best flywheel blasters Nerf has ever made.
