I have several GoPro HERO11 Blacks and I use them constantly for filming. They have become a major part of my filming setup because they are small, tough, easy to use, and can be mounted almost anywhere. The picture quality is excellent. The HERO11 can shoot up to 5.3K60 and the footage looks sharp with really good detail. I normally shoot a lot of my footage in 4K/30 and it still looks fantastic. The larger sensor also gives you plenty of room to crop and reframe later, and the 10-bit color option is great if you want more information in the footage. The durability is another big reason I like them. I use mine outdoors where they deal with dust, dirt, rough trails, changing weather, and being mounted on different gear. They feel solid and are waterproof, so I don't have to treat them like some fragile camera every time I take them out filming. The amount of accessories available for GoPro is one of its biggest advantages. There are mounts for helmets, bikes, vehicles, tripods, backpacks, gimbals, extension poles, suction cups, and just about anything else you can think of. I have built a pretty large filming setup around mine and being able to use the same basic mounting system on everything makes life much easier. They are also extremely versatile. I use mine as stationary cameras, handheld cameras, on a gimbal, mounted to gear, and powered externally for longer filming sessions. HyperSmooth works great when I need stabilization, and I can shut it off when the camera is stationary. Being able to switch between Linear, Wide, and the other digital lenses gives me even more options depending on the shot I want. The ease of use is very good. Once you have your settings the way you like them, it is basically mount the camera, turn it on, and start recording. The touchscreen is easy to work with and the GoPro app is useful for checking the camera, changing settings, and previewing the shot wirelessly. For value for the money, I think the HERO11 is still excellent. You are getting high-resolution video, great stabilization, waterproofing, a huge accessory system, 10-bit color, multiple shooting modes, and a camera small enough to take almost anywhere. I own several of them because they are useful enough that having multiple angles going at the same time is actually worth it for me. The only thing I keep an eye on during very long continuous recordings is heat. They can get warm when recording for extended periods, especially depending on settings and airflow, but that has not stopped me from using them heavily. Between the durability, huge accessory selection, versatility, ease of use, excellent picture quality, and overall value for the money, the HERO11 Black has been one of the most useful cameras in my filming gear. I own several for a reason.

This is an upgrade from my Hero 2018. The Hero 11 may not be the latest model out there but when you balance the price with the features you end up ahead. The camera is practically bulletproof as long as you have the doors correctly closed. I use the GoPro primarily for off routing. The image quality is outstanding. Pro mode is the Way to go, almost unlimited settings with the ability to just color and speed. I would recommend finding a good YouTube video to help you walk through settings to achieve the best performance. The accompanying quick app, which is free to download, makes video editing, almost effortless with professional results.

The GoPro HERO11 Black is exceptional for dashboard recording and filming in rain, meeting all my needs. Image quality is superb, with excellent stabilization. It performs admirably in challenging conditions, making it perfect for outdoor adventures and driving documentation. The only drawback is its tendency to overheat during extended use. However, I've found a solution I'm excited to test soon. Despite this issue, the HERO11 Black's overall performance, versatility, and durability make it a worthy investment for both casual users and enthusiasts. If you need a reliable action camera for various environments, this is an excellent choice - just be prepared to manage potential overheating.

First, to address the many comments about the packaging - "E-commerce packaging". Even if you don't know what this means, the fact that it's so clearly stated in the title should tell you that it is NOT the usual, retail packaging. I can't believe people are complaining about this. The camera comes in a brown cardboard box with biodegradable packaging inside. I was happy to see this, I don't need pretty graphics and more plastic to put into the environment. I was not going to buy another GoPro after owning a 4 Black for years. That camera was just way too shaky for my use while MTB (Mountain biking) and was only moderately acceptable for skiing, which are my two primary uses for the camera. After reading about and seeing the video from the GoPro 11 with stabilization, I decided to give it one more try. And I'm glad I did! I've used this GoPro 11 Black on four MTB rides in the few weeks I've had it and the video is stunning. That word keeps ringing in my ears every time I view my recordings. I ride on some pretty rough trails, rocks, tree roots, bumps etc, and the video is amazingly stable! I also take capture frame grabs (still shots) from the video and they are so sharp it amazes me. I opted for the GoPro 11 over the 12 because it has the GPS function. But I haven't figured out how to use that yet! The manual that comes with this camera is pretty useless after about one day. I immediately went to the GoPro website and downloaded the Owner's Manual PDF. It is searchable so that works really well for me. Battery life: This still isn't what I would call "great" but it shows about 4 hours of record time when fully charged. I bought a 128GB SDHC storage card as well. That also shows about 4 hours of record time with my settings at 4k/60fps. I was shocked to see that a 3 min video is about 1GB + file size! Guess I'll be buying another hard drive to store these files on. One of the features I REALLY love in comparison to my GoPro 4 Black, is that I can power on & off the camera via the Quik app on my iPhone, and it automatically connects. That little feature is SO much better than the old process. And even the "low res preview" is still really good resolution, so it's fun to watch my video clips after a ride when I'm sitting at the bar with a beer. I have an iPhone SE (2nd gen) 128GB, and have had no technical issues with the camera. However, with file sizes over 1GB, I won't be storing a lot of video clips on my phone. I plan to buy the Enduro Battery and a charger soon, as that is said to have more cold weather tolerance which will be very important when ski season comes back around. Overall, I would recommend this camera. The recent price drop made it very attractive to me also.

I hate it. Is the video good? Sure. However these problems make it unusable. Years of using a Sony Action Cam which had NONE of these problems. 1. Overheats for absolutely No reason. I am in a kayak the outside air temp is 60 degrees. It overheats recording. 2. The battery life is horrible. You get 30-45 minutes then you have to swap batteries. (I have the GPS function turned off because that even makes it worse. I woudl like to use the GPS module and them removing that function makes me less likely to buy gopro too. 3. setup straight out of the box is horrible. You have to really watch a ton of youtube videos and experiment a lot to get the video to be right. 4. Wind noise is insane. Adding dead cats (with stickers) was the only thing that finally helped. So ANY wind. it is going to sound like a hurricane. 5. I hate the design of the battery compartment. It is always getting in the way of the screw mount. Does it take good videos? Sure if you play with it but you are going to get a lot of spoiled video that is unusable until you play with it a TON. Not impressed. I expected more from the flagship company in this space. This review is after using it 18 months.

After using this camera for a little while I'm loving it! So easy to use and amazing photo/video quality. Video shot on the Linear-HorizonLock setting is super stable. Also, update to my original post: The seller responded very quickly to my concern and took care of the issue. Thanks! Original post: I just got it and unpacked it. It came exactly as expected with no flaws that I've seen so far, however the descriptions says "What’s Included: HERO11 Black Camera, Extra Battery, Curved Adhesive Mount, Mounting Buckle + Thumb Screw, USB-C Cable" -- the words "extra battery" means another one besides the one it comes with, and there was only one battery in the packaging. A bit disappointing since I was fully expecting two batteries to come with it.

The item received was as per description, however the carrying case was missing despite the ad mentioning it will be included in the package.
