Just what I needed
It's exactly as described, perfect for my needs. It is hard, don't plan on drilling and tapping it easily. I needed to tread a hole in the end and it was an adventure. Got it tapped maybe 4 threads before I broke a tap, it was enough for my needs but don't count on deep threads or drilling.

Case hardened for days
I didn't believe this shaft would be this durable, it's definitely hardened. Tried to drill it with my m35 cobalt drill bit, the shaft just laughed at it. Ended up having to use a solid carbide drill to get through it, and it was still dicey. Way beyond my expectations.

Great quality product
Excellent quality, fits bearings accurately. Nice and hard, good weight bearing without bending.

straight and hard. plating is quite wear resistant to linear bearings and no rusting when wet!!! (so far) I use these in a knife sharpener so I am putting dynamic hard wear on this rod in water and frequently moving compression collars too. very durable surface, no flex at my loads.

Cetme jig bar
This bar is the right diameter to bend a cetme flat around and buying it though amazon was the cheapest option. It didn't flex in the press, just worked out great.
