Very sturdy, long so I don’t have to bend down at all. Foot goes in my shoes and boots easlity.

Metal stamp edges are rather sharp below the PVC grip. Product is sturdy and easy to use with the exception of being careful not to scrape or cut yourself. Smaller "spoon" has no PVC at all; and it should. From advertisement: COMFORT GRIP PVC HANDLE:The handle is covered by soft PVC sleeve which provide comfortable grip feeling.

I won't lie, I'm THAT guy who never ties his shoes tight. Always slipping/jamming/wiggling my feet in and going on my way. I'm also that guy who smashes the back of his shoes down and wrecks them. Well formed, quite useful tool for putting my steel toed workbooks on. Had to bend the hook on the handle end around a little further so it would hang on a wall hook, but a great shoe horn. If I purchased again I would look for a longer one, but that's no reflection on this one
