Omni Cervical Relief Pillow

Very Comfortable and cushiony pillow. I use this when taking Pilates Reformer and yoga classes. Relieves sinus pressure when I am lying flat at class. Recommended by my Pilates instructor.

I have been using an Omni Pillow for more than ten years while doing multiple floor exercises. My wife tried mine one day and said "I need one of those too!" so now we are a two Omni Cervical Relief Pillow family! They are well made and reasonably priced.

I first used this cervical relief pillow at a friend's house, while on her Magic Wave treatment bed. I liked it so much I ordered one for myself. It holds my head in a relaxing position, and according to the accompanying paperwork, it assists in adjusting my spine. I know that if my neck is hurting, I can use the pillow and it relieves the pain. Other items that treat the same condition (neck pain) tilt your head in such a position that you can do nothing but stare at the ceiling. With the Omni pillow, you can actually lay on the floor and watch tv, which is a huge plus if you have to spend 30 minutes on it. I would recommend this pillow to anyone.

Just as the description says, it’s great support for neck and head while resting or doing Pilates or yoga. Great !

I purchased this for myself as I have a "reverse curve" of the neck and TMJ. I go to my chiropractor twice a week, but for a little extra help at home, I lay on this device every night for about 20 minutes. It's very comfortable, and it does help to relax all the muscles in your neck, jaw, etc. I can feel the gentle curving action so I believe over time, this may benefit me and start to retrain my neck into going back to a more natural curve. It's too early to say. But for those who are thinking of buying it and wondering if it's, A. comfortable to lay on, B. supportive and C. feels like it's doing something, I say "yes" to all three! The only downside is the bottom of it is very slick and if you are laying on carpet (as I am), it can slip around if you don't lie very still. My solution is to just brace the back of it up against a sturdy piece of furniture and then lay you head back into it. Or, you could put some anti-skid material on the bottom, as long as it's not too thick and messes up the ability of the device to lay perfectly flat on the ground (for your best alignment!) I recommend it!

It is a great help in relaxing neck and shoulders during Pilates.

This is not a super supportive cranial pillow. It is super soft and looses it's shape easily (If you are looking for super soft than this is the pillow for you). I found that I was unable to get adequate decompression or lengthening of cervical section with this particular model. I ended up going with a cranio cradle (http://www.amazon.com/CranioCradle-Craniocradle-Home-Therapy-System/dp/B005QBCL82), which can be used in multiple ways and is soft yet I feel better for decompression and still point.

I have neuropathies and fibromyalgia, and got this intending to use it for brief rests during the day. But I've come to use it nightly -- often all night long (I use a CPAP, so I tend to sleep on my back a lot). It's really an amazing little device because you can shift it to slightly different positions to change the traction and pressure-point effects. It also allows me to completely relax my neck, since I don't need to use small muscles to keep my head from tilting to one side, which can lead to cricks and aches. I keep my regular pillow nearby during the night, and sometimes switch to it midway through when I want to change positions. But even if you don't want it for sleeping, it's great for daytime meditative rests with subtle traction. I recommend experimenting with positions -- especially upward and downward -- as this increases and decreases traction and pressure points.

On its own, it gets sticky against your skin. I found that putting a pillow case on it was uncomfortable though because the pillow case was slippery on it. I wouldn't buy it again.
