I have forklift battery 24 volt setup 480 amp what's the number would you recommend to set it up shut down

This can not be used on a forklift. You will need a contactor (relay) capable of handling the full load of the motor, probably many hundreds of amps. That said, the BatteryProtect can trigger a remote relay, but that function would be better accomplished with a battery monitor, like the Victron BMV-700, also connected to a large relay. The battery monitor can also be set to alarm when the battery gets low.

is this suitable for under hood applications? Would engine bay temp or damp conditions be an issue?

No. The BP series is not suitable for this purpose.

I want to use my RV is this a standalone product or does it need another device to input parameters for the battery to shut off at a certain voltage?

This is a programmable low voltage cut off device. Great for Lithium battery management. Only shuts off when the battery voltage falls to an assigned level. Read the brochure on how to set the shut off voltage. Does not control charging voltage.

Is there a similar product for overcharge protection? The charge controller can server as primary disconnect. Need redundant product for backup.

Good product for my solar system installed in Uganda.

Bought this item after realizing my inverter had a "dangerous" low volatage disconnect of 9.5V. I was lucky to even get a free upgrade to Smart version. It is working amazingly well and with the smart option, I can even raise my voltage disconnect to a higher value, a feature not available in non smart type (currently set my LVD to 12.6V). No noise, easy and simple to install. Above all, the supplier has a very good customer care. Review after 3 years: This little gadget is still working like new after 3 years of daily usage/24/7.....I now know the power of Victron bran.

Stopped working after one month

My BP-220 stopped working after one month. It will engage but has a high voltage drop across it. It is connected correctly and has only seen 80 amps max for about 2 mins. To top it off I can't seem to find any warranty info. Buy from a company that has tech support

Stoped working after 3 months

Stoped working after three months. Had to bypass it to get my system up and running. Have not tried to contact anyone about the failure.

Exactly what I needed

I installed this device on my 1kw solar system with 850ah of lead acid battery. It was easy to install, easy to program and draws very little power. I like that it can be easily controlled remotely with a simple switch.
